Problems with launch!
1. Most common reason for the game not launching is an issue or lack of the .NET 4 Framework and Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable:

2. Verify the integrity of the game cache. Right click Feel The Snow in your steam library, click properties. There is a "Verify integrity of game cache" button in the "Local Files" tab in the "Properties" window.

3. Check if you run the game with a discrete graphic card, if not, make it.

Also update your video drivers and restart system:

If you have black-screen/white-screen - try alt+tab or alt+enter.

If you have another trouble - tell us, and attach your system configuration.

Hi, I'm getting the glitchy start screen when the game boots up. I've tried what I can of the suggestions in this thread but nothing seems to work. I would really love to play this game, it looks awesome! I'm on an Asus laptop running 64 bit Windows 8.1 with an Intel Pentium CPU 2117U @ 1.80GHz and 4GB RAM. I'm fairly sure the only graphics card on this thing is the integrated card that came with it. Any hope for me? Maybe some obscure setting I can fiddle with?

I only have one video card, an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. The help you've given for every thread reporting the glitchy main menu (saying to look at point 3 specifically) makes absolutely no sense. Are you trying to say I just can't play the game unless I have an NVIDIA card?

No, you just should update intel driver or find the one which will be working fine.
First of all when you ask to help you, we need some information, how could we know that you have only one video card. We just advised you the most common solution that helps most of the people.

I updated my intel driver twice and it didn't solve anything.

Just some constructive criticism before I leave: your game isn't going to sell very well if you refuse to fix a problem that's been reported on by a lot of people and then only have this to offer in terms of customer support. It's not going to do your reputation as developers much good, either.

It's not an error of the game code but the specific behaviour of the game engine. We can't fix it even if we wanted to.

Kind of agree with Mihari, stuff like this:

as well as a link in step 3 to something totally isn't super helpful, its making it sound like you guys are just stabbing at things. I'm assuming, since all other people with intel graphics cards and no nvidia graphics card solutions aren't able to fix it, while people with nvidia cards can, I think it's safe to say trying random drivers is just going to waste my time.

I think it'd be wise to either sort that out or instead of a vague note like "Runs fine on integrated graphics cards" specifically point out that it will not work on intel graphics cards. I'm sure it's something in the code btw, an error earlier in the thread showed this is made in game maker which doesn't have any odd driver requirements that I know of.

Anyways, not angry, just getting a refund, good luck :)

Edit: Actually I looked into this problem looking at some threads on it for game maker studio, and I've seen something that looks like a solution on the developers' end.

From a comment on botched graphics that look messed up in the exact manner of the menu I was seeing for my graphics card:

"Hey guys, thanks for the answers! Apparently, the problem was far simpler than it looked, no code was needed; as Jaqueta guessed, my laptop also has a Intel onboard video card, and I did some further digging, as discovered this is a recurrent problem with theses kinds of machines.

The solution was simply deactivating "Force software vertex processing"; somehow, that is default configuration for Game Maker, even though the documentation deems it necessary only in extreme cases. Either way, problem fixed :)"

I would also give an option for windowed mode in a config, I wouldn't be surprised if that would also fix it for myself and others if the game never entered fullscreen. A lot of general bugs happen with window/fullscreen and are fixed by using only one, so an option would be great. I'm sure most people would prefer an option for a tiny/large unresizeable window rather than a game that simply doesn't run.

What is your video card? If you have two of them make sure you run the game with the discrete video card. If you don't know how watch point n.3 on the first page of this theme.

I'm a little confused, is what I posted not correct? If it is, you guys can fix this with a checkbox and steam beta to let people with the problem test it. If it isn't, that's okay, though. If I'm correct, you have an intel hd 3000 or 4000 graphics card eclipse. If you also have nvidia, you can do what they're asking, otherwise just get a refund since you can buy it back later if they fix it.

I'm getting the Glitchy Graphics on start too and nothing is working so far. I have a Intel(R) HD Graphics ver 10.18.10.3349 according to my computer and no other Graphics cards. Not the best with Comps so let me know if I'm not giving the right system info.

If you have intel(r) 4000 Graphics then try 8.15.10.2669 driver version. We've been testing and it works fine.
