Treasure Hunter Achievement Questions

I continued my save from the past so I already started after the ancient machine.
I spent 9 in game days straight farming 12 maps after I cleared out at least 12 chests in the Cave of Ringing Wind and in the Sunglade (using fire for the cave to melt ice and attacking the vines for chests in the sunglade). So I've found at least 12 chests in the wild and at least 12 chests via treasure maps and I still didn't get this achievement. Am I missing something?

The only thing I could think of is that my character already found 12 chests in the past so the counter only kept going higher thus the achievement was never given. This happened for the Golden Lumberjack achievement, it skipped right over Silver lumberjack but upon returning to the main menu I got the achievement. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated for the only other choice I have now is make an entire new character and grind for 10 in game days straight again which I would like to avoid.

I just got the achievement, I got it on my 12th chest from the maps that drop, the ones you need to melt ice / break vines don't seem to count for it since I got more than 12 of just them. I will say that I was playing a new character that I had made after the new update so your problem might be the fact you already had 12 before the achievement was a thing.

Thanks for the information. I'll probably make a new character when they add more content again and try to keep track then. Wished I still got the achievement since I got over 12 chests, but it is what it is.

It would be nice to make the RNG drop rate worth it if you get better items than just a ring improves mana regen. It's fast enough if you invest 2 skill points into mana regen already...Spent 30 minutes farming in the dark zone and I haven't had a map drop (No there isn't one already in my inventory or a marker on my map)
