X box controller does not work

Hello, I am trying to use my xbox controller with this game, however the game does not recgonize my controller, (Disabling the HID does not solve the issue.) Has anyone solved this issue? My controller works for every other game in steam but this one. Thanks in advance.

Hello, as far as type of Xbox controller it is the wired Xbox controller for windows. There is only that model as far as I am aware. I am running windows 7 PC. No error messages, the game does not respond or recgonize that I have a controller.

Thanks for your information. I have asked our devs, and have confirmed that the X-box controllers do work on our game. However, Windows 7 can miss some of the components that identify your controller. In order to solve this, you will need to download the components needed from Microsoft's website, or upgrade your system to Windows 8 or Windows 10, which should already have the components for controllers. Thanks for reaching out. Here's the Xbox controller troubleshooting website. You should be able to find instructions on how to update your driver in the bottom of the page for Windows 7.

Hello and thank you for your reply. I solved this issue and its something your dev team may want to keep in mind for people struggling with controller issues. My wired Xbox controller does not work with your game, however for whatever reason my Xbox wireless controller works with it. It is an odd issue where one xbox controller works and one does not, however this as you have suggested is an issue with microsoft and not your game. Thank you very much for your help. and I am looking forward to playing your lovely game with a controller now.

For everyone else, try a wireless controller it solved the issue for me
