IF OF COURSE IT LETS YOU PLAY!
This a port from console and even with a controller the movement keys often doesn;t work right.
Or the camera won't let you see where you need to interact with to make that jump.
Or, your fire button doesn't work
Or when you double jump, the second one doesn't register and you fall. Over. And over. And over again.
it is not about skill. it is not about reflexes. it is about a game that won't let many people play it. If this is what you want? Go for it. I don't. Pity the glitches didn't really start until after 2 hours. Coincidence? I think not.
Stay Safe
This game needs a follow up. Change the things that makes it mediocre for alot of people and evolve the whole comapnion thing into something more and deeper too.
The game has its heart in the right place and a great setting and game play ideas that just needs another push to make it into something truly great.
The story is a little sluggish, but interesting enough.
The robo-dog is a PITA, but until I can actually get another bot I'm stuck with it.
Hint: If you need parts, don't extract cores. Killing bad bots without core extraction drops spare parts.
It's fun, pretty, and a little short on guides in game on why I should be doing something. I'm just there offing bots and stealing parts, everything else is secondary.
Character Movement feels mostly good, just a smidge stiff i might say but that's pretty minor.
i have some gripes about repeated Stuns, but i find Combat to be a positive experience overall.
just know that you're getting into a game that isn't completely driven by its Narrative - it's a major player in how you progress, but the game isn't just a straight line. there's a fair amount of side content in both Dungeon style and Exploration style.
main con i can think of to mention is that apparently Keybinds got broken and never fixed. so you can't change the Keybinds which is a bit annoying. but the defaults are usable so it doesn't break the game, technically, i guess.
i think it all boils down to whether you like the way the moment to moment Gameplay handles. and that's 50/50 how the Combat feels to you, and how the Character Movement/Platforming feels to you.
The second half however is REALLY bad, when it becomes a tight and frustrating "jump from this platform to this platform" game (its like a totally different game) The problem is that the jumping is really bad (at least it was when I played the game on Xbox one few years ago)
Also, you need to collect gems (=grind a lot) to unlock next area, which sucks.
I'd say, buy the game when it's on sale for 3 bucks, but you should only play the first half of the game.
It's a real shame, because if all the "buts" would be fixed, this would be an awesome game.
