try instalingl visual c++ 2013 x64 and x86 and see if loads
As elevenoverzero recommended, ensure visual c++ is installed, the installation files are located inside the games folder in the directory where it's installed.
Locate the game directory
Press windows key + r , copy and paste the following link in the text field that appears and click "ok" to open the folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\erimia\_CommonRedist\vcredist
* If installed in another directory, right click the game in the steam library and open the properties, by local files there's a option to open the game's folder from within steam.
Visual c++ installation
There are 3 folders inside:
2010, 2012, & 2015.
In each of those folders are 2 installation files, vcredist_x64 and vcredist_x86.
When having a 32 bit operating system, install the x86 setup file, or otherwise the 64 bit one. Possible to install the setup file in folder 2010 first, then run the setup file in folder 2012 & 2015.
Tip
** Some games on steam require a seperate program to be installed to be able to run and play the game. If a game isn't starting up, the required program is normally included in the game files location.
Hope it helps, Happy Holidays.
visual c++ 2010, 2012 and 2015 were installed as part of _CommonRedist,
However, visual c++ 2013 was not shipped with the game. That was the problem. Thank you for everyone, and happy new year !
