Although I'm not the developer, I have to agree with you, the game is amazing.
HakJak (the official game dev) will be sure to see this soon :)
The controls are a bit wonky, and HakJak was planning to try and fix them up. But, this game is about getting through obstacles with really sensitive controls.
But I see what you're trying to say, and I'll be sure to inform him sooner or later about that.
Best regards,
Santa Doge
I appreciate you letting me know you'll talk to him about it. I understand the thinking behind needing to make the controls "Wonky" because of the wacky 'Good day turned bad for everyone in my way!' feel this game is going for, but making the controls enjoyable should be #1 considering that's how you interact with anything in the game. Currently I'd classify the controls under "Floaty", which if you've ever played a 2D platformer that had this issue, it just damns the whole experience to mediocre and instead frusterates you. Thank you for taking my feedback constructively and have a great day!
Go to Settings-->Controls and you can customize sensitivity there!
I developed the game using a PS4 and Logitech controller. Sensitivity for those should good right out of the box. But apparently Xbox controllers work differently and give the game very high input values by default, resulting in twitchy controls.
After I get this next big update out (~ May 19th), I will hook up my Xbox One controller and refine settings for those specifically, and create a new default mapping for them to improve that issue. I did this once before and it really helped, but got wiped out when I did the new controller customization system... so it will be improved soon. Probably about end of this month.
Both trigger and stick input for G&G is analog though, to be clear.
I will see what I can do :)
I just need to figure out what is keeping it from working.
Hey there! I have been fiddling around and i've discovered that the OBS game capture will not work when there is any antialiasing at all! Leave it at 0x and it should work. But yeah if you want to fix it maybe have a look around there :D THAAANKS!
But seriously though, thank you for the find! Very helpful!
