Message to developers
Hello developers, I laughed when I played the first level because I realized these are the kinds of games we need more of, just fun without any of the extra fluff. However, by level 2 while riding the bike I also realized very quickly that the controls on this game are complete garbage (Xbox one controller), I have to flick my controllers left thumb stick to get it to move, it's not smooth motion at all. Consider how biking in GTA 5 feels compared to... this game. I know you're not a AAA studio, but your first priority should be making the controls more fluid and responsive.

Heh, thanks for your feedback!
Although I'm not the developer, I have to agree with you, the game is amazing.
HakJak (the official game dev) will be sure to see this soon :)
The controls are a bit wonky, and HakJak was planning to try and fix them up. But, this game is about getting through obstacles with really sensitive controls.
But I see what you're trying to say, and I'll be sure to inform him sooner or later about that.

Best regards,
Santa Doge

I appreciate you letting me know you'll talk to him about it. I understand the thinking behind needing to make the controls "Wonky" because of the wacky 'Good day turned bad for everyone in my way!' feel this game is going for, but making the controls enjoyable should be #1 considering that's how you interact with anything in the game. Currently I'd classify the controls under "Floaty", which if you've ever played a 2D platformer that had this issue, it just damns the whole experience to mediocre and instead frusterates you. Thank you for taking my feedback constructively and have a great day!

Hey thanks for the feedback!

Go to Settings-->Controls and you can customize sensitivity there!

I developed the game using a PS4 and Logitech controller. Sensitivity for those should good right out of the box. But apparently Xbox controllers work differently and give the game very high input values by default, resulting in twitchy controls.

After I get this next big update out (~ May 19th), I will hook up my Xbox One controller and refine settings for those specifically, and create a new default mapping for them to improve that issue. I did this once before and it really helped, but got wiped out when I did the new controller customization system... so it will be improved soon. Probably about end of this month.

If you are using a controller... with analog sticks.... you are doing it wrong. This game much like many other PC games requires on a key press and depress, nothing at all related to analog movement, I would imagine the analog at this point is setup to literally trigger such a keystate and not behave like analog at all. Getting into the discussion group of one of the most PC skewed games you can think of and giving the game negative reviews based on controller support. There is almost no hope if people can't play this properly, you know why people don't all play CSGO with a racing wheel right? It's not the right way to play

Some people prefer keyboard and some controller, and some even use a wheel. G&G supports them all and in the update after this next one, I will be re-adding Xbox and wheel-specific default control maps to improve their support.

Both trigger and stick input for G&G is analog though, to be clear.

I will see what I can do :)
I just need to figure out what is keeping it from working.

Excellent, I am head over heels for your game, the vehicle deformation nearly rivals multi year long early access titles like next car game and the like. The editor is literally unlimited fun with near endless modes and gametypes to create, I can tell having used a few level map editors that great care has been taken in regards to the user experience within the editor, common sense binds, shift makes me move faster, 360 camera, standard x y z movement lines, scaling, I really need to stop typing now cause this will turn into pages. Beyond excited to see what comes out of this game, as it is, once you get that game capture sorted, you may as well call the game finished. XD editor + workshop = forever. only other request I have is beefing up the editor, allowing for building blocks to be merged into one mass, imagine welding in gmod. Keep it up, one of my favorite games on steam for a long time

That's awesome to hear!! It's easy to start feeling "burnt out" when working in the same project for so long, so hearing comments/reviews like this are very encouraging :steamhappy:

I want to write a positive review but I see there isn't a huge shortage of those and would definitely like to wet my beak a bit more so I don't sound like a gushing moron, but you really have something more than a "happy wheels" clone here. Time trials, platforming, adventure, pretty much limited by our imaginations at this point, can't thank you enough.

Hey there! I have been fiddling around and i've discovered that the OBS game capture will not work when there is any antialiasing at all! Leave it at 0x and it should work. But yeah if you want to fix it maybe have a look around there :D THAAANKS!
