Distorted Data Village

Are all of the quests dealing with the distorted data village buggy? I was able to do the find the village quest by logging in then logging out but I can't do the data collection quest or the cooling down penguin quest. Any help, hints, or suggestions?

I know it's a bit late for an answer, but they are mostly really just finicky.
Changing to another channel also triggers the find the village quest.
There's a small trail up the volcano to the right area up close to the big penguin to use the water that's kinda easy to miss.
Data collection, I believe, just requires you to use the item next to the floating egg.
I've also had the water disappear from my inventory sometimes, but you just need to cancel the quest and start it over again if that happens.
