aww that's too bad, it's been 10 hours since i created this topic but i still couldn't fix the problem..
first, make sure you're running steam and/or DMO as an admin (right-click -> run as administrator), second ensure that you can access the folder it indicates in the error and that said folder isn't read-only.
does this fixed the issue? :/
that is strange, just now i redownloaded the game and now it's installed normally.
Try delete the game files (manually, so that you remove the files the patcher downloaded on top of the steam files) and then try re-downloading and running the game with your anti-virus(and firewall) disabled, as before ensure you're running steam (and hence the game launcher) as admin.
