Difference in xp gain when leveling together

Me and a friend made new characters and we got the same xp up untill we entered western area outskirts he started to gain more xp than me.

At same level and both of us having 300% booster activated i got around 4000-5000xp from killing strikedramon while he got over 10000xp.

How can he be gaining so much more xp?

We have looked around without finding out the reason.

Hes movement speed also is higher than mine for some reason.

Maybe your friend put event clothes and gained extra 150% exp.

Neither of us have event clothes and are only using the ones we get from the main quest in the start

Is your friend using a suit? Those give considerable exp, speed and AT boosts.

We both have the same items except i have the dats uniform on and 2 chips

The higher the mob level in comparison to you, the more exp you get(with some limitations). Also, leader digimon give more exp than their regular version

this is quite obvious already and wont even change anything because we both should get the same amount of xp from the kills since were in a party.

we even got the exact same amount of xp from every kill up to western area outskirts in which he started to gain double the amount i got which so far seem to make no sense at all.

It's possible that he has a type advantage and you don't. The digimon also have different levels

We are same level and both of us are using same digimon

We found the solution to be with digivolution... being champion gives more xp than normal for some reason
