Truth About the Removal of UlforceVeedramon Future Mode?
So, I remember talking about UlforceVeedramon Future Mode with a friend and they brought up an interesting thing to me. It was removed due to being stronger than Omegamon? I have serious doubts about that, but considering how many Digimon got removed or is banned due to copyrights (and not due to other stuff hopefully,) I was wondering if that is what happened as well. If anyone has any information, please let me know.

It was removed due to copyright issues, because it is exclusive from V-Tamer manga and it seems that KDMO released him without permission. They tried to negotiate for Ulforce FM, but negotiations went wrong and they won't release it again ever.
Never thought that there was manga exclusive Digimon and how long ago were the negotiations made? Haven't things changed at all or did things go that far South?

In the wiki it says that they are forbidden to add him again.

You can check the patch notes that KDMO made to explain the situation too.

Wait... What?! The mangaka have the Ulforce Future Mode's rights? Just like Takeshi Shudo had from Movie 1 Mewtwo and so they couldn't use it in the Genesect movie?

What's the problem with companies? Most of the time anything created in a media involving that franchise belongs to the company and not the person writing the story. Why in these two cases did they make flexible contracts that only gave them a headache afterwards? It's explained why we never see Future Mode in other media.

But how is Ulforce FM in a situation like this but not Yagami Taichi? You know... The mangaka was the one who created Taichi, not the Adventure writer. How was your iconic hero allowed to be adapted into a completely different anime and is even being used in a reboot now, but not a digievolution that would clearly be useful for Bandai to use in other situations?

None of this makes sense. If it's something like "Our Taichi is different from your Taichi" then it's just Bandai do a slightly different Ulforce FM and say "This is our Future Mode, not yours".
One lawsuit to show how bad things can get with rights. Ken Penders vs SEGA over the Echidnas in Dark Brotherhood.

Thats the thing we dont know the details... the popular theory was that somehow bandai lacked the rights to future mode.. whcih is odd. I mean i personally think MG just jumped the gun, added it without Bandai's OK and got penalized for it. Since all that was ever said was "Copyright issues" which could be just about anything. It is still an odd thing that FM has been used in NOTHING just V-tamer, and 1 card.. no v-pets no video games nothing. Arkadimon got used in other stuff... do we know for 100% sure that taichi was created by the magnaka i know the manga came out in 98 which was pre s1.. but maybe he was just allowed to use him or something.

But yeah the big thing is sadly we dont know the details, probably never will and sadly a billion theories will run all over he place.

That was due to Fusion not being popular outside of Japan and Korea, right?

What's so different between a Jog and a fusion anywaysXD in the xcross episode where all the main characters were brought to fight something, they did explain that even Omegamon was just a Fusion, not a Jogress. The only Jogress was Imperialdramon. And if fusion was indeed not popular in Japan, what about Yugi Oh XDXD
Oh well, i guess only the devs will know.
Super later reply. But I just found this thread while researching Veedramon.

Ok so Fusion, Xcross, and Jorgress are different in the following ways. (The series itself has liyerally never explain any of this and we can just assume vase on evidence the series give us. Doesn't help that the dub amd even some Japanese stuff use the term interchangeably. English Dub even made it more confusing by dubing Cross Fusion into DigiFusion for some god forsaken reason.)

Fusion results in a Digimon of the same level as the fusing diginon.

Jorgress results in a Digimon. A level higer than the fusing digimon

Cross Fusion turns Digimon into weapons or parts for the main Digimon. And doesn't result in a level change because that season of Diginon didn't have levels for "selling toys" reasons.

As for the Yugioh question. Ok so the difference is that Digimon threw away the concept of Digievolution in place of the Xcross Fusions. Thats the difference.

Just because the Yugioh fanbase likes Fusions, doesn't mean another fanbase will like them if it completly replace the original gimmick of the franchise. Like the problem wasn't the concept of Fusion. The problem is how it was implmented. Like even when Yugioh creates new Summoning Methods the old ones still get support and are still viable..... Ok so maybe Pendulums have had it rough. But you get my point.

Since HolyAngemon Priest appeared in Adventure 2020 we should've known that the "copyright" allegation was just BS. The fact is that Bandai is selfish and does nothing to actually benefit Digimon.
