I have a few questions....

I started playing this game a few days ago. DMO is a really good game but I'm confused about some things. I did a quick search on google but I couldn't find much info, so I hope you guys will be able to clarify some things for me. :)

The same day I started playing, I bought a Lucemon Egg from the cash shop (Lucemon Satan Mode has always been one of my favorite digimons since I watched the anime! :D ) and when I scanned the egg, it was a 3/5 egg. I was planning on upgrading its size later to 130% but I read earlier today that a 3/5 digimon can't be upgraded to 5/5, which means that the size of the Lucemon I have atm can't reach 130%. Is this true? I want to be 100% sure before I buy a new egg from the cash shop.

My second question is about the fruits that make digimons grow in size (Miracle Fruits, Mysterious Fruits & Goddess Fruits), which one is better and why? Where can I get it? I also would like to know the difference between the 3 fruits, if possible.

My third question is about the egg backup item. Is it true that it cannot protect 5/5 eggs?

Finally, my last question is about tamer clothes. I want to buy a Military Short-Sleeved T-Shirt from the cash shop but I don't want to buy the same t-shirt each month, so I thought "Why not buy the permanent version instead?" I clicked on the purchase button next to the permanent t-shirt but the Exp and HP bonuses weren't written in the description. Does that mean that the permanent version of the t-shirt doesn't give the exp and hp bonuses? I just want to be sure.

First of all, yes. Theoretically, it is actually possible to get any Digimons up to 130%. It's POSSIBLE according to the set values and chances, but we wouldn't recommend trying. If you want to get a Digimon that's not 5/5-hatched to a 5/5 level, there is an item called 'Growth Fruit' which you can apply to jump striaght up to 125% by a 100% chance. That way, any Digimons can be as powerful as a normal 5/5 Digimon.

Second, I'm not too sure about your standards of 'better', but what I can tell for sure now is that using Goddess Fruits is definitely the most ... advantageous, if this word even suits. Basically, if these 3 fruit items were to be ordered out in a sequence of ranks, it would be: [Mysterious] - [Miracle] - [Goddess]. Unfortunately, I'm not supposed to specify the exact set values or any of that sort at the moment.

Third, for now, that is correct. In the global version of DMO (GDMO), Hatch Backups with 5/5 protection have not been added yet, if I'm not mistaken.

Lastly, you are right about that again. The said item does not have EXP or HP abilities. No abilities in shop description, no abilities in-game. Note that some, if not, all permanent fashion items will have relatively lower attribute stats, too, when merged with attribute items.

I read a little bit about the growth fruit somewhere. If I remember correctly, they said that the growth fruit's effect was only temporary and that it didn't give any stat boosts, but according to what you just said, that isn't true, is that right?

By "better", I meant the fruit that has more chances to make digimons bigger in size but if you can't tell me, that's perfectly fine. Just knowing that the goddess fruit is better in some way is helpful enough.

Hmm.... That's too bad. :( Is there another way to protect 5/5 eggs? I'm planning on buying other mercenery eggs from the cash shop in the future but I don't want to spend too much either. A single egg costs a bit more than 9 canadian dollars. It's not alot for a single egg but I know I won't always get a 5/5 egg even if I buy the egg from the cash shop and if, on top of that, there's a chance that the egg will break, that would be really unpleasant, for me and for my wallet.... :(

I see.... I'm a bit disappointed but it's good to know that they can have attribute stats.

No, there are already added since Devimon Instant Dungeon when the 6 raid bosses drops Mega box. There is very extremely low chance to get a 5/5 Hatch Backup so it is Added to GMDO already. The Hatch Backup in Cash Shop only works till it reaches level 4/5. Any reason why Cash Shop is less valuable and not working to get level 5 Digimon? Only way to get 5/5 version, is to farm mega box which is 2 hours each time.

None of them are temporary. They are all permanent.
For the Growth Fruit that instantly sets it to 125% for Level 3 or Level 4. You NEVER use any fruit ever again.

The Mysterious and Miracle are the same though. Only Goddess has a bit better chances but works the same.

Tamer Level 50+ and do some quests to unlock the dungeon. File Island Mouthain. Talk to Angemon for 3 Wheels to 1 Dungeon pass(also stock on firewall for devimon when it shouts warning).

You do the raid bosses. Kuwa spawns 2 hours each time and drops summon cars for next raid boss and so on till Devimon. Usually it is Kill all Kuwa spawns so that ranked 1 player gets summon cards. Then use it one after the other with 2 minutes countdown.

Nice! That's another good thing to know! But when you say "NEVER use any fruit ever again", are you saying that because the remaining 5% isn't worth getting or will something bad happen if I use another fruit after using a growth fruit?

Haha Yes, I just read what you said to Renren. It's strange though.... Renren is a developper and (s)he didn't know about the 5/5 hatch backup. I really hope the game developpers didn't add the 5/5 egg backup by mistake. It wouldn't be fun if they removed it. T.T My tamer has a looooooooooong way to go before reaching lvl 50 (I think he's lvl 21 atm) and I need to use Lucemon's skills multiple times just to beat an enemy in the ice region (I forgot how the area is called) and he's at least 5lvls higher than the enemies. -_- Anyway... All that to say that I won't be able to fight those raid bosses anytime soon. T.T I'm going to keep this page in my favorites though. So when I get there, I'll read your message again to know what to do.

Edit: I did a quick search on google for the growth fruit. Someone said that the fruit was only obtainable in events and someone else said that it can be bought in Kamemon's core shop and in the cash shop. I went to DATS center but I didn't see the fruit in Kamemon's shop. I can't find the growth fruit in the cash shop either.... Is it really only obtainable from events?

Because level 3 or level 4 can never reach higher then their fixed values. Growth Fruit is the only exception. It is Cash Shop(timed) exclusive item that gives you a level 3 or level 4 direct acces to 125% size on use. Using any other fruits is the results below.

•Level 3 Mercenary Eggs, will guarantee you a 3/5 Digimon with a size between 80%-100%.
•Level 4 Mercenary Eggs. will guarantee you a 4/5 Digimon with a size between 101%-125%.
•Level 5 Mercenary Eggs. will guarantee you a 5/5 Digimon with a size between 118%-130%.

Just reminder Level 3-5 only means their size range when using other fruits besides growth fruit.

Level 5 quicker to get at 125% but given the range it is not worth it to waste a growth fruit. Just use any other fruits.

Level 4 would already reached the maxed possible 125% anything else will be decrease. Growth fruit be done with it and never use it again. Other fruits try your luck to get it at 125%.

Level 3 would have huge boost and will be at 125% thanks to growth fruit. However using any other fruits will decrease it back to 100% or below. You can never reach 101-124% or 126-130% with this digimon. Growth fruit be done with it and never use fruits again.

Renamon isn't your typical Dev, as in that he adds content to the game. Game staff is usually divided in different subgroups, like devs, game testers, community managers, community support, in-game support etc. Sometimes certain staff members are assigned to multiple sections and have accordingly multiple responsabilities.
Just guessing from what I see (and I don't claim this to be facts, only my educated opinion), RenRen is both community manager and in-game support staff mainly. He helps the Devs, but he isn't responsible for adding updates or knowing 100% how the game functions.
Just thought about adding my two cents about this. Nothing else to add, Flowey the Flower is doing a good job answering your questions.

This is wrong. Like I said, the set maximum scale vaules are all at 130%, regardless of the whether the egg was hatched 3/5, 4/5 or 5/5. The online DMO Wiki isn't to be trusted 100% although they do provide some useful information at times. After all, they're not official in any way.

The net has either outdated information or update information but unofficial.

Yes, they drop Mega boxes(not 100% though) but opening it has a very low % getting one.
Mega Box = 2 random items from the list. My luck was like this.

1st Attempt:
100 Mega box = 200 Items
200 Items = 1 Hatch Backup.

2nd Attempt:
500 Meg Box = 1000 Items.
1000 Items = 3 were Hatch Backup.

Not to sure about those Levels and range size%. Since for my experience I never gotten Level 3 digimon higher then 100% ever. Since we don't have access to the actually data and not allowed to know about it. We can only trust Renren words.

It can be that Level 3 80-100% guarantees it when using fruits. But you have perhaps a 0,1% chance that it jumps to 130%.

True, Renren it did used to say that Level 4 was 101%-130%. But those are results of people experience what they gotten for those digimon. I think but it might be like this then.

80%-100%, other% is low chance to get and extremely very low chance to get it to 130%
101%-125%, other% is low chance to get and or very low chance to get it to 130%
118%-129%,other% is low chance to get and or low chance to get it to 130%

They only said guarantee as in those ranges are most likely to get it from increasing and decreasing. While rest is uncommon or instant to 130% is next to impossible without wasting so many fruits.

To my knowledge, sizes of strength are:
3/5 80%-100%~
4/5 113-125%
5/5 118-130%
Which means, if you get a 4/5 and use Miracle/Mystery/Goddess fruit on it, you can get 125% which is the same as a 5/5 as far as power/potential is concerned. 5/5's are more desirable as they're stronger by default. I PERSONALLY have never seen or heard of a 3/5 go above 99%, but I myself have gotten 4/5's to 121-125% with several fruits and I usually stop there as I'm more likely to go down than up. Mercenary eggs you get from drops are all RNG so it's up in the air if that egg you have will reject 5 data injects and then explode, or go to 5/5 with no failures. The fruit (with the exception of Growth Fruit which is auto 125% size) has RNG to determine the size, so pretty much it's all luck. I've heard plenty of people say they've gotten 130% after hundreds of fruit, but my highest with like 50 is 128% on a 5/5. I have a knack for hatching digimon and getting them to 5/5 sizes. Have like ~55 (all 4/5 or 5/5) on Seraphimon Server. I think I confused DMO with Pokemon at some point x.x

For the egg backups, the drop rate must be insanely low.... And we can only obtain a few boxes each 2 hours? Is that it?! I was really happy when you told me that 5/5 egg backups existed in the game but that's just ridiculous! I don't have that kind of patience.... Anyway, thanks for the confirmation at least.

Yup basically if you want 5/5 is buying it from cash shop which is extreemly low chance to be a 4/5 or 5/5 since i bought 10+ eggs from the shop and all were 3/5

Another one is which i highly recommend is to wait for events that lets you farm matterials which you can use to buy eggs which has a chance of 5/5 still a chance though but better than cash shop

another way is get your Tamer level to level 50 and 60 which will give you a random 5/5 egg

So i would not worry about using 3/5 digimon since they are extreemly weak and you will have a harder time leveling them at a higher level and you will stand no chance in a raid with other powerful digimon

I was able to get 5 5/5 virus digimon during the last event and recently got a 5/5 vaccine egg from the xmas event
