Are Main Quests Even Important?

Hey, I'm kinda new to this game I'm tamer lv32 and digimon lv46, my last main quest was in Wind Valley and I got now main quest notification afterwrd except from Snowstorm VIllage, what about other digital world area like DIgimon Farm, Ruined Historic, etc. I've never done any quest there and I got no quests there.

I've been wondering do I have to finish all of the main quest? Is there some feature that unlocks only by finishing certain main quest? What to do next? Can I just keep leveling until 99 without doing any main quests?

They allow you to unlock new areas and raids. The main quest you begin in Yokohama can be pretty much ignored though, but the File Island ones are crucial.

what about digital world area(i.e. western village, western village: west, and so on til dark tower)?

They're nice in the beginning since they unlock you maze and some maze features, but other than that they're pretty much pointless. The maze quests (the ones inside the actual maze) are pointless in the global version, seeing as you don't even receive the reward they give in the Korean version for fully completing it. It's only use is unlocking Omegamon, since you need F3 for that.

Main Quests in file island can also unlock a new map too like Server Continent. And every quest in Server continent are important (Except daily ones). They can unlock Datamon Dungeon.

which area that has important main quests? do any of you have the list?

Doing all File Island main quests will unlock Infinite Mountain Dungeon. Doing the quests there will unlock Server Continent Desert for you. Then, all Server Continent Main Quests are needed to progress through Canyon and Pyramid, and eventually reach Datamon Maze.

Precisely. However, doing main quests in Western Area, for example, will unlock more NPCs in different maps (for example, a Warehouse in Western Village & Digimon Maze Entrance, etc)
