If we were to increase more channels, it would only make more botters be there. The spots are usually already occupied with tons of people only on 2-3 channels. If we made 7 it would be even more full of botters. It would still not make any room for you to do your quests, unfortunately.
And GameKing and Steam are exactly the same servers so GameKing or Steam users have no advantages or special spots at all because they all connect to the same server blending both GK and Steam users together.
I understand what its like being understaffed and it sucks, cause I have to deal with the same thing every day at my own job that has its problems hiring people be it finding reliable people or my superiors just thinking who we have are 'enough'. So I get where you're coming from with not being able to do everything on your own or your superiors thinking that you are enough for one entire game. And I'll clarify that I don't believe you lot are 'not doing your jobs' or anything because I actively and constantly see reports pop up in-game about "Insert Random Letter Combo Username" being banned for gold farming or illegal program usage.
But if you have the power, why not change up some of the spawn rates? I get that if you increase spawn rates on certain enemies then it makes getting certain items SO much easier but you could also lower the drop chance to offset this. It gives normal players a better chance of getting those quests that require mob or boss kills finished despite those botters that pop up. Why can't all areas be like Yokohoma and have mobs spawn in like crazy?
Back when I played like two years ago just about, I really really enjoyed this game on GameKing but the main reason I stopped playing was because it gets to a point where you have to spend a week or two grinding dailies just to level up once for your digimon, which may be a reasonable timeframe for some MMOs perhaps. But when those dailies involve killing a boss spawn that comes once an hour and you have botters or other players killing these guys in all servers...it hinders the community and it killed my mood for the game.
Of course this is just me but I think the main problem with the game involves the EXP gain and the mob spawns for quests like that. If you can't deal with the botters because of people not being able to report due to not knowing what or how to obtain a Macro Protector or video record these botters, then why not change up the actual mob spawns themselves? I understand if its above your position and/or out of your capabilities but you all have to do something about this at least. You hold the singlemost popular Digimon MMO in your grasp and its being killed by people who bot and kill mobs and mob spawn rates being painfully low.
EDIT: Or at least kick rather than ban. Unsure if botting is liable for an actual offense in this case other than a warning since it hinders players.
Macro Protectors are not meant to report people. It does not send us any message or ping signaling that someone is using it. Macro Report can be applied to a player in battle and it will show them a security question which they have limited seconds to answer. If they don't answer correctly or don't answer at all, they will be banned automatically from the game for a certain period of time. Depending on how many failed Macro questions they already have logged to their account, the ban extends each time alone.
About the channels, it was just an example. I, myself, have no power to add more channels. Only the Developers can do it and we have suggested certain maps to have more channels numerous times but they don't seem to find it useful or needed.
And lastly, I am thankful for your understanding of our situation. We move your and everyone else's' suggestions to the right people but in the end, the decision to make whether it will be applied or changed is beyond us at that point. There are so many good suggestions coming from the community and the GM's themselves that were never applied and will possibly never be, which is a sad situation.
Whatever the situation is, we will keep trying by pushing the suggestions over, perhaps one-day things will change and they will actually start listening to the community and their employees.
I’m pretty sure some people would work for the company for free, help in any way possible.
In all honesty macro protectors are pretty useless. I've managed to macro plenty of botters but there was a time they could solve it in a literal split second. The odds of having one banned now is higher than before but if they use advanced bot programs they will still solve it.
What's important to grasp however is that not everybody farming seals is a botter. This is a flaw a lot of people can't see past. Bots move mechanically, they always attack the same way, always target the closest target and never target something that is outside their aggro range.
If you wish to kill the guilmon for your quest you could try to find out what digimon you have can oneshot them with a skill. You go to a guilmon spawning and the moment it's targetable you mash that skill button which will prevent other people from hitting it if it's a oneshot and you were faster.
