Angels of Death

Is it just me?
I'm not hugely into the fan base but I do know that alot of fans pair Zack and Rachel together as a couple. Am I the only one grossed out by this? Rachel is 13, as said by herself. and Zack is in his 20's ( I personaily think 23 but thats but a number that came to head), as told by the paper that we find in Eddie's place. Zack is 10 years older than Rachel.

Is there a reason people ship them or is it just cause they are the main characters? Also do they just push aside the ages or ignore it?

I have not finished the game but have finished the anime.

I do think that within such relationships romance can also exist. But, somewhere inside I feel that, even in the case of lovers, there is a bond that can form between two people that surpasses even feelings of romance. Perhaps I wanted to demonstrate that in my stories.

Because shipers will ship anything. No matter how bad or how little sense it makes

I ship them platonically! As for why? They have a really strong bond and constantly cover up each others weaknesses and it is clear they are much happier with each other around than they were on their own. I just want them to go on runaway adventures together and stay together while avoiding the police. Like would it be sketch for a man in his 20s run around with some unrelated teen in tow? Yeah, absolutely. But the whole death promise, the fact he's a serial killer and she's suicidal and basically EVERYTHING about them would be bad in a irl context. Thankfully the game is all fiction.

To be clear, I really don't want to see anything sexual with them since that would squick me the hell out too, but I've also seen a grand total of ONE artwork like that, So it seems extremely rare for shippers to ship them sexually in the first place as they are. I do know some who ship it romantically after a few years on the run when Rachel is an adult, and in that case? the 7~10 year age gap isn't a problem (it's just everything else that is still ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up lol)
