Does Glittermitten Grove itself have an actual ending?

I'm aware of the Frog Fractions 2 content, but I'm actually quite enjoying Glittermitten Grove on its own. I'm wondering if it has an actual end goal, like reaching a certain population or surviving to a certain year, or if it just keeps going indefinitely.

It ends somewhere along the year ten billion. You will need to fast forward a bit to reach the end before the sun engulfs us all.

The game ends when you get 18 purple symbols and the credits roll for 10 billion years. At which point a Dev Room will also spawn that you can go to and see what the game devs have to say
