A New Sign of Catastrophe!
Well, alls I can say is that it took a while for the English release of NSoC to arrive to consoles, didn't expect it to also come to PC too. But yeah, be minded/aware that there won't probably have crossplay.

Anyways, stay fresh, and Chaos Code! The game is out now for $20. A one week launch discount for 10% off will be applied, making it $18.

Game's got tight gameplay and a good variety of moves. No 2 characters really play quite the same and it's moderate roster of characters allows for a more intimate style fighting game. It's not the most visually appealing fighting game but it's far from "catastrophic".

The only thing Chaos Code ever really lacked was online and that's now been established.

The only other foible I could attribute to this title was the commical amount of engrish that plagued the vanilla version and even that has been addressed in this update.

Don't you find voice-over to be a bit of tedious, if not hideous, for once?

I'm sorry. I don't quite understand your question. I have no issue with the Japanese voice track if that's what you're asking.

not completely though for the engrish.

for example "create a doll and act like the god? what a stupid!" or "human dosen't understand how good this hair style !" is there, unless cthylla's supposed to be bad at human languages.

This game is FULL of engrish, what are you talking about? My entire playthrough with Cerberus was plagued with typos. From winquote screens all the way to the ending.

Characters' voices, and how actors read their lines. Strongly reminded me of BB:CS. Mah ears are still ringing from that.

Thought that's what you meant. The voice acting isn't the greatest, but you can only expect so much in production values from a lower-budget game like this. Also, the voices are still way above the English dubs of any ArcSys games, IMO.

I guess, the problem here is that voice-over wasn't thoughtfully directed, like the animation was. From my NitroplusBlasterz and BB:CS exeprience, you need an actual lines and timing or it would just sound out of it's place. Actually, english dub of BB:CS is way worse than this voice-over is, but in BB:CP it's might be even better than the original japanese sound with the same cast.

The worst part is that I have this habbit developed from competitve RTS'es to turn off the ambient music while I'm playing to not be distracted. Looks like, I would have to turn it on.

There was someone to administrate the animation on this level, but noone for voice-over. It's just sad, disregard of marketing.

I've been interested in this game for ages, but it never seemed to get released outside of Japan. I think the US got a digital release on PSN, but nothing for Europe. Mind, I might be confusing the game with another awesome looking 2D Japanese fighting game.

Anyway, bought it now. Thank you for putting it on Stam.

Might as well mention that the character Chaos in Under Night In-Birth was intended as a reference to Chaos Code. His bio even says that the "Chaos Code" is his weapon.
iirc he only has the chaos code in the japanese version. In the english translation they changed it to "the codex of disorder" for some reason

I only played through with the main character and all the more obvious examples of poor English were re-written to read inteligently. I haven't had a chance to really check out the rest of the characters yet.

I suppose some of the voices were a little eccentric but I didn't really come here to experience the end result of a seiyu's master class in line delivery. I suppose like much of the double jumping and air dashing, this aspect just kinda flew under my radar.

a Skullgirls guest may have been planned and scrapped at some point.
I may be mistaken but I recall having read somewhere a year or two back that the screen shot of Filia about to face off with Orie in Uniel was a mock up by French Bread to welcome Lab Zero's foray into the 2D fighting genre to the Akihabara arcade scene.
