It's been a tremendous journey, with ups and downs along the way, but I am super proud of the final game, it's packed with puzzles, humour and a tonne of dogs! The support of everyone on Kickstarter and in the adventure game/indie dev communities has been immense, you're all such amazing human beings.

I really hope you all enjoy playing it, please tell your friends about Heir of the Dog.

We’re excited to announce that our highly anticipated pixel art point-and-click adventure, Heir of the Dog, is landing on Steam on October 29, with console releases already in the pipeline.

Our second commercial adventure follows the success of our critically acclaimed debut, Lucy Dreaming (2022), which earned an 87 Metacritic score and currently holds a 98% positive rating on Steam.

The origins of Heir of the Dog stretch back to AdventureXJam 2020, when we created a fully voiced adventure called Hair of the Dog in just two weeks. This free game went on to attract tens of thousands of players, inspiring us to revisit the concept and expand it into a full-length adventure: Heir of the Dog.

In 2024, the game was backed by over a thousand Kickstarter supporters, who pledged almost £60,000 to help us bring the game to life. Now, six years after the original game jam, Cummerbund Bandersnatch’s peculiar story is finally ready to be told in full.
