I thought splitscreen option is for couch co-op. When you are both online, u have ur own screen
Playing with a "local" friend on an online game. Like what you can do on Rocket League (or probably Mario kart ?) for exemple.
That was the weakest bit of couch co-op that this game has always been stuck with, from the old MMV3 down to Toybox Turbos.
That's quite restrictive in the year 2017. In fact, I personally never enjoyed that mode much. I enjoyed the rest of the game otherwise. There's a lot of local coop/competitive modes that could be added.
Not only... You could also cross the finish line before your oponent if you both made it through all 3 laps. And wasn't there a tank that you could use to kill your oponent, or was that one of the later games?
You'd almost always wait for your opponent to slip-up somewhere for you to leave them in the dust (i.e. out of the screen and score a point).
My bro could keep up with me though.
