Maybe via a PS1 emulator ? I never tried, we always had a way to play in on console.
But one thing I noticed from the "screenshots" is that the screen resolution is worse on PS1 compared to the Windows version. On Windows you could press F7 and the graphics improved considerably.
Well at least it looks like "someone else" got it to work on a PS1 emulator. ;-)
Thanks for the tip. :-)
I'd love to hear from Codies what the actual difference was.
Part of the reason I hope the graphics are an evolution of the aesthetic of MMV3 appropriated for 2017; not cartoony like Toybox Turbos.
I played it on PS1, with 2 multitap. Everyone brought their controller, it was a mess on the floor with all theses wires.
When PS2 came, we managed to keep at least one PS1 alive (sometimes needed to be vertical or even upside down to boot correctly). And played on it.
Then PS3 came. One of us had the very first PS3, retro-compatible with PS1 games, yeah the expensive one. We played MMV3 on it.
Then compatibility was widened and we played on any PS3.
For all theses years, we bought the orginal game a few times, when the previous one was unreadable. This game is starting to be hard to find.
We currently have 2 PS1 disc, one we play on, the other for backup like "damn I forgot the disc !", or if the disc becomes unreadable.
We gave some bucks to codemasters with our several purchases ! But hell, the fun is there, even after all these years so, who cares ? Great games deserve to be bought.
Nah, that was me being sarcastic, hence the winking smiley.
That "somone else" is me. (But I'll never admit it since it's probably illegal to run roms.)
Only tested with 1 controller but it looks like it would work with 8 players.
@devs: PLEASE add 8 player support for the new Micro Machines World Series!!!
