Best Adjutant?

Im about to spend loads of prestige, want to make sure i get the right one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I still dont exactly even know what they do to be honest hehe)

Best for what infantry? bows? cav? ranged cav? pike infantry? etc etc The main purpose of them is their formations.

They give formations, which increases certain parameters of your troops. For what type of troops adjutant do you need? (infantry, archers, cavalry)

Should i play 1k hours and say same opinion again?
It's just common sense, only San Cai formation is decent without Wei/not against cavalry but Huang Gai has not any movement speed bonus formation, you think Shu or Wu infrantry is great with Huang Gai?

Since shu are ment to be full tanks and a frontline wouldnt the best defense adjutant boost it? Wanna know how you think :D

Xu Sheng best for Shu infantry, imo.
Huang Gai for Wei

Shu has no any use when they are out of battlefield, they are very slow without speed boost and they have throwing weapons that are needed in frontline as soon as possible.
Sure Huang Gai has slightly better defence bonus if you meant Big Circle formation but that formation itself is pure crap or very situational at best (good against cavalry).
It's good formation in mass fights when there is no hurry to get to frontline but when there is not? Huang Gai is better in siege defence with Shu, true.

I personally use Huang Gai with my shu, have T8 of them too.. they don't have throwing weapons... my problem with Xu Sheng is that the formation is too narrow, and you can't encircle pikes etc.

Xu Sheng formation is often too narrow, true. I was mainly speaking in terms of playing with random people in public servers. In competitive play and true teamwork it's whole different thing.

Actually I use Huang Gai and I main Shu, Huang Gai is great for infantry as it gives you alot of flexibility to work with in different situations.
