How did I get pigs?

So, I'm playing My First Farm (taking my sweet time) and am at the point where the game teaches about biogas. At no point did it instruct me to buy pigs (and I certainly didn't even check if I can).
However, I've just discovered from the organizer (or whatever it's called*, the thing on the tablet where you can keep track of what's going on on your properties) that I, aparently, have some pigs in Pig Sty #2 - with -1 days to grow. Went there, and sure enough, there are some old pigs in the sty.
Anyone have an idea how this happened? I apparently got a free pig sty and some free pigs. I suspect an odd glitch/bug.
(I loaded a game from two in-game days earlier and I don't have any pigs there yet, so it's even odder that they are already old pigs, making me even more inclined to think it's a bug.)



*I have the Hungarian/Polish version of the game, hence I don't know what exactly it's called in the English version.

You are going to have a task to sell pigs. When you complete it the pigs will be your.

when you come back from italy i think it spawns because there is also a missing that spawns near the apple orchard. It basically gives you the pigsty before you even start the mission

Thanks for the hint, I found that task. It's still strange that the game already considered those pigs my own before even accepting the quest.

I screw that up royally. I took the side job right after i sold the pigs, so I didn't get the $5000, and I find myself with an animal transporter that doesn't even work right.

Glad I just read this! I bought a animal trailer to take my pigs to the butcher to get more money and couldn't figure out how to load them, nothing worked! So came here for direction and find out I shouldn't sell them yet....thanks for the info guys!
