potato harvester

Using a potato harvester with a worker is a bit fiddly! Unless I am doing something wrong ... I cannot use the truck so have to use tractor and Wielton. I have to bump the worker out so I can raise the ramp. Then get into the other tractor drive alongside in the opposite direction [because it says exit blocked if you park alongside facing same way?] then go back into the harvester tractor and usually I do not get the Q unload first time so you hit R which knocks the trailer then you may get the Q - then you can set the worker off again - phew! Even with the small first potato field it needs unloading several times - don't think I am growing many potatoes!

Please can you get this sorted so we can drive alongside and the worker has enough of an IQ to raise the ramp and unlaod when we are alongside? If it can sense the vehicle [like in FS] so we can unlaod while he is working would be great. Even more fantastic is another worker who can unload and dump in storage :) Courseplay?

After harvesting a very small field I sold the potato harvester. BTW the first load of potato that I gave to the pigs was counted as unprepared fodder, after that it was just prepared, so I can just by pig food and skip the hassle. Unless a new self unloading harvester with a larger working width is provided, no more potato for me or my piggies!

I am doing the potatoe mision and can't hire the worker. I got the harvester and its full but I can't seem to be able to unlaod it in the trailer due to the thing being too low you mentioned a ramp? or is there a way to raise it so the trailer to get under it?

first close the potato harvester. then drive alongside the trailer.
you will get a prompt for [Q], press it, the harvester will unfold on a higher level and unload.

I did figure it out :) Thought it would be a raise lower not fold up and then dump.

Does anyone know if the Semi and grain trailer will take potatos from the harvester? And if it will deliver them to the storage?

I have the semi now and want to use it as much as possible. More trips mean less $$ to most farmers.

wich do you mean by "Semi"...?
I used the Wielton 10t and it handles all kind of produce fine so far. didn't try eggs yet.
