Things feel slow

Loving the game and don't worry i'm a supporter not a hater :)

I've been playing for a few hours here and there since launch and I couldn't quite put my finger on what was bugging me when i compared my playtime to when i was playing other farming games.

I think i have nailed it. The starter equipment just feels slow, it took me nearly an hour to plough a field. I know this is a sim and that's probably fast compared to real life but let's not forget either that this is a game.

I feel like all the starter equipment could do with a speed boost of 30ish percent. Either faster tractor to start with or slightly wider attachments.

I know time spent in a field also depends on the size of the field but just as a comparison i booted up FS and plouged a field with starter gear and it took me half the time for a field of similar size.

Hiring workers just takes longer as well but i tend to like to do the jobs myself anyway :)

Admittedly the time it takes to do these feilds in PF 2018 is probably more realistic than farming simulator. Some of the equipment in those games seems to fly through feilds like nothing I've ever seen IRL. These are supposed to be simulators after all.

I guess there has to be a fine line though between keeping it simulated and keeping ti fun. If i was to plough, fertilise, sow, water a field i could spend 2-3 hours easy on 1 field. That game play is too slow for my personal tastes so ended up pushing over into the free farm mode starting with more money and buying bigger equipment but i kind miss the story progress which is what i love most about PF vs FS.

That’s a fairly weak response as i already stated I am a fan of PF and the great things it has which other games don’t.

PF community wanted realtime we asked we got it.

What’s so wrong with my suggestion that you need to tell me to go play other games?

I like the pace the way it is.
and I had the impression that was what Umbreawesome and Nimrod also wanted to express.
I don't want faster starting equipment. I'm very pleased with the fact that tractors slow down when trying to cut way across a field. etc. etc.

so, when you are a fan of PF, become a fan of slow pace.
if you are a fan of fast pace, maybe get you some mods for PF, they will sure make some in some weeks or months that are exactly what you want.

but please don't ry to change the game for all others, because now here are at least three people to answer you who like it the way it is.

That is perfectly fine and the point of a discussion but i don’t need to be told to go play another game is all :)

@lordymatsuo, Kaeru Gaman got exactly the point. I'm more a simulation fan, so I like the slow pace and doing all by hand, I don't even use workers for my fields, therefore the way this game is fits to me. I'm sorry that you got me wrong, I didn't want to tell you to go and play another game. I just wanted to tell you, that there is a wide variety of different farming games on the market now with different approaches and therefore there certainly might be the chance that one or some of them fit better to your personal play style ;)

No probs PF is the best farming game i played lol hence the post but if majority think its paced just right then perfect. I still play it most nights and can’t even go back to FS
