We plan to make Until We Fly free to play, so friends can join each other without a purchase barrier. Find your way, overcome obstacles, rescue teammates, and escape together.

All official maps, online co-op, the map builder, community maps, and color choices for the classic caterpillar will be free, with no time or progression limits. We are converting the existing full game instead of launching a separate demo. Everyone will use the same game and multiplayer environment. Existing save files and progress will not be reset.

The 13 existing non-classic caterpillar skins will be offered in the Supporter Skin Pack, with a planned US price of $5.00. Regional prices will be shown in the Steam store. Skins change appearance only, with no movement, collision, or gameplay advantage. Friends can see your skin without owning the DLC.

If you enjoy the game and would like to support its development, consider buying the skin pack. All maps and gameplay features will remain available without a DLC purchase.

Everyone who purchases the base game before the free-to-play transition will receive the Supporter Skin Pack at no additional cost and keep access to their existing skins. Thank you for supporting Until We Fly.

The transition is planned for October 12, 2026 or later, once Steam approval and release preparations are complete. We will announce the exact date when confirmed. The game is still paid at the time of this announcement. Purchases before the transition use the current price; if you would like to start for free, please wait for the transition-complete announcement.
