The Entertainment District is out now – free until October 29

Oct 22

It's here: Popcorn & Premieren – Ausgehviertel (the Entertainment District) is available now.

Build a leisure district around your cinema with nine businesses:

a pizzeria, beach club, restaurant and ice cream café
an arcade, bowling and mini golf
a stage and an event hall
plus a paid parking garage

Every business can be upgraded in three stages. Construction and upgrades take time, and each business brings both revenue and running costs. Invest too quickly and your box office feels it.

Free for one week

Until Thursday, October 29, 10 AM Pacific Time, you can add the district to your library for free and keep it forever. After that, the DLC costs 4.99 EUR.

Get the Entertainment District on Steam

Thank you to everyone playing Popcorn & Premieren. We can't wait to see your districts!

Requires Popcorn & Premieren. The district opens up once your multiplex campus is built. Please update the game to version 1.1.0.

Hotfix 1.0.2 – Programme planner right-click fix

Sep 20

This hotfix fixes a critical input issue in the programme planner.

• Fixed a problem after right-clicking a film that could cause overlapping controls, clicks passing through the context menu, and unresponsive planner controls.
• Corrected drag cancellation so interrupted drag operations no longer leave the planner in a stuck input state.

The fix is available for Windows and macOS. The full game and demo receive the same correction.

Thank you for reporting the issue and helping improve Popcorn & Premieren!

Can't build Multiplex Campus

when I try to it says Access check FailedL there is not enough clear floor space for the queue. Plus the building menu always blocks the expansions (both themes) and I can't see a way to move it as it is

First impressions

- the AI generated intro graphics look really weird and out of place considering the graphical style of the actual game. - the AI voice sounds annoying (very AI) and also despite subtitles being enabled in the settings there was no subtitle for the very first thing I heard after starting a game. - the game should let players access the settings before starting the game/tutorial. - the first tutorial popup talks about "one finger", "pinch or twist"… This is not a phone game… - after I selected the firs...
