I enjoyed Stasis and was looking forward to CAYNE. I played CAYNE for about an hour but couldn't continue, what a disappointment. The story isn't interesting but that isn't the biggest issue. The puzzles are terrible, making the game more frustrating than fun.
I hate to knock a free game but I would rather pay for a good game than waste time on a bad one.
If you expect the atmosphere and suspense from Stasis, then you probably won´t bother with Cayne. I know I'm a broken record, but this is almost entirely due to how obnoxious the protagonist is throughout the game,
However, if you want kind of an epilgoue to Stasis, Cayne fits very well. Be prepared to dig for the clues though.
The puzzles are a mixed bag. Some parts were actually noticeably better than Stasis (for example the need to actually read logs to be able to solve some puzzles). Other parts were counterintuitive or just boiled down to randomly clicking and combining everything.
Also, it's a very short game and never feels stretched out.

CAYNE HAPPENS AFTER STASIS
Without looking at the hidden answer, isn't it possible to just say "Game A plays before game B"? I don't need any more details how the games are connected.
