Hao likes to act like the be all end all authority on VTM.
No, the official core books and companion books are the be all end authority on all. I just happens to enjoy reading them to others who need help. :)

What's not an authority on VTM is vapid alt-right hate videos on YouTube complaining about "Marxists" and "feminists" taking over the world through VTM V5.
Of which I am not a member. Nice try? I don't feel Marxists or feminists are taking over the world via V5 whatsoever lol. Who even has that viewpoint?

Well, there were a lot of complaints about a focus on thinbloods in V5.
Also my friend had told me after watching the new trailer that there is a clear markings of feminism in the depiction of women. I am not a designer like he is, so idk. I did not thought so personaly.

I never said you were a member of anything. I'm just informing you of useful facts as a public service.

Official books are canon. Everything else is not. I'm warning you about people who know absolutely nothing about this setting and try to pretend that Vampire: The Masquerade belongs to unhinged losers like Jordan Peterson.

As for who has that viewpoint in this topic, TAKE A GUESS. Hint: It might be someone who throws tantrums for days at a time whenever I post. lol

I heard that the original plan for V5 was to have the players be exclusively Thinbloods, but I don't know if that was confirmed, or just a rumor.

If it had been confirmed, it would have been absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. Nobody buys a game about playing as vampires, only to be told they're going to play watered down, pale imitations of the real thing!
Zero basis in reality. This was never a thing.

So, wait, the rules are subject to change based on the ST and Player's decisions, and yet at the same time, the books are the defacto authority on the game?

How does that work?
The books are official and canon.

But Paradox isn't watching you play the game. If the ST changes the rules, I won't tell on them. So, the rules are whatever the table decides they are.

Just like how Monopoly has official rules but is often played with house rules.

Until the ST and Players decide that they're not, right? I mean, after all, you have told us the ST is free to change whatever they want in order to suit their chronicle.
Well, maybe you'd have an easier time getting an answer to your question if you didn't go out of your way to edit my posts when quoting me to remove the parts that answer your question for you. Here you go:

Try responding to the full post. :3

You, of all people, know that house rules exist. You link to fan fiction rules because you don't know the names of the canon books, remember? LOL

Canon is just a PR word for mass delusion.

They just wanted to move away from standart Sabbat antagonist imo. So Sabbat had abandoned their operations and holds en masse to participate in their Gehenna Crusade. On that premise there was a need for someone to actually fight them somewhere off the scene. So here you get the Beckoning and Camarilla+Ashiira alliance.
Now that leaves Anarchs and Camarilla on the stage. Basically allowing you to play as whatever vampire you want.

As if Camarilla is any different... One is a religion the other is feudalic state. One is straightforward, the other hide behind fancy words.

These are differences. It's like approaching Crinos form WW and telling them "what's the difference you're the same person as you are in homid form", and then you die.

I want to play a vampire supremacist who views humanity as a weakness, and treats mortals as nothing more than food and slaves.

Which, you know, is what the Sabbat were there for!

I want to be a naughty vampire god. Keep this True Blood ♥♥♥♥ as far away from me as possible.

You know, the most I'd enjoy roleplaying a supremacist is probably something like a disfavored in tyranny, specifically because they don't see humanity as a weakness, and they are very family oriented and take care of each other and would sacrifice themselves for a noble cause.

But, like, going on a crazy powertrip as a vampire god is 100% satisfying to do once in a while muhahahah *munch munch* *breaks norms* *stab stab* *take take* wahahaha

Imagine playing a Tzimisce who took charge of family restaurant chain. He needs to open them in every place he wants to stay for any prolonged time. Do you want a Tzimisce pizza?

watched some of it. Was entertaining.
Great death scene.
Could really feel the internal struggle in the villain.

Plot twist, he systematically builds them in a geographical layout that allows him to be 'surrounded' by pizzerias when in his haven.
no joke great NPC material

Its just a business with a haven hidden in it. Not like the Tzimitzsce is doing the cooking and/or ingredient sourcing.

Given the Ravanos bane works on something like a mile radius, one would guess the Tzimtizsce bane functions on the reverse, where their obsession/collection has to be within a certain radius, and they can't just get away with points of convergence.
