They have PDXcon coming up in the Fall. If they have something big to drop, it would be there, I suspect.

While I'm at believe it when I see it based on how long from announcement to launch Age of Wonders 4 was if its releasing this year it would have to be the Summer. Even more so when this game is pretty much at apathy levels of hype and knowledge of its existence now.

I could see that, but I believe they would get more eyes on it at Summer Games Fest, so it makes more sense to me.

at this point they wont be showing anything until they're 100% positive they can deliver. can you imagine if they announced a release date, then pushed it back again, or if they released a game that was even slightly buggy at launch, let alone on par with some of the games released in 2023? public opinion and would turn in an instant and they'd get review bombed. After the troubles Bloodlines 2 has had they need a win if only to recoup losses.

Paradox's Age of Wonder 4 game released with mixed reviews due to bugs, but the reviews turned better a day later.
Expecting no bugs at release is a bit unlikely with current technology.
