For real, the guy hoped to make Bloodlines 2, he put his all into making it...and they got rid of him and scrapped his work. They literally had people who made Bloodlines 1 to be such amazing story and they got rid of them
Yes, he provided feedback on NWN2 (Which I loved to play apart from main campaign ending) and was lead behind Alpha Protocol, which is again a very good game storywise (if not for the TERRIBLE bugs that make it hard to work but that's gameplay-engine related). I failt to see your point to be honest, the games he was behind were mostly fine.
That aside, both him and Chris Avellone were to work on VTMB2 but both got quite misstreated. Honestly the lack of guys behind the success of the first title can be clearly seen in the direction TCR went... although I do like some of TCR games (Dear Esther amazed me years back with its graphics), they have no experience with handling project like this.
Not to be negative, but the future of this game looks quite bleak.
I feel you bro. Something I've been missing a lot lately myself.
That said, BL1 was a product of many very talented people, not just Brian.
Still hoping InXile gets to make Bloodlines 3
You mean Chris Avelone, who was falsely accused by two women of sexual harrasment which caused Paradox to turn their back on him (as many other contractors of his), even though those charges were later dropped as untrue and the guy sued the two woke warrior women back, for loss of face etc. Yep, there's lots news about that. Well there's also this:

think about what you just said for a moment. making it sound like they should have seen the future, when avellone was cleared of all allegations. were the courts supposed to just dismiss the charges out of hand? was paradox supposed to voluntarily employ someone facing these charges? yeah, it sucks, and i feel for him and wish it hadn't happened to him, but try and be somewhat realistic with your framing of the events and motivations behind them.
anyway, i think it's notable that he leaves off with "like everyone, i'm waiting for vtmb2." no need to say more. what happened to hsl and mitsoda sucks, and i hope i get to play games made/written by him and avellone again some day. but yeah, they really weren't the only guys who made vtmb and i think avellone's right and honorable to emphasize the importance of good voice direction and acting. the graphics and sheer personality of that game are still a big draw to anyone coming to it from a fresh perspective. i REALLY hope that vtmb2 manages to deliver in this regard -- that its soul is just different now, not gone.
