Given the winter themeing I would be surprised if it come Q3/4. The exact when as well I feel might depend what the competition is looking like.
How many aborted projects for this license ?
Not dead, just VERY unlikely to be worth the wait.
Which is so weird given the lore of WOD is so rich and amazing I am surprised how little effort is put in to their videogames.
Out of curiosity, wondering why you think that? Certainly not trying to start a rude back and forth, and I'd much rather avoid that. But I think the game looks/sounds pretty awesome so far, and seems pretty full of rich WoD material, so just wondering what makes you think that.
Well for starters I'll admit I was ALWAYS a bit critical with the game even when I was more excited. The idea of starting at a thinblood didn't interest me at all but being an elder was most definitely not an improvement.
In saying all that... honestly, it's just what I see these days. Someone asked earlier if we'll see a "Heather Poe" and from what we get from games these days I realised the chances of any "Darkness" that isn't comical is borderline non existent. Such a character these days would be a "Risk" and despite being an absolute requirement for games in this setting I just can't see nor have I seen any signs of such things. Even games I've enjoyed that have areas that need to be dark and gritty are so "Safe" it truly takes me out of the setting.
I know I could be wrong, I still think of this game and want it to be amazing and hopefully start a whole new love of the setting for others so we'll get more from it but the lack of clans, modern day fear of taking risks and even Paradox themselves basically already giving up on it doesn't fill me with hope.
