Excellent game
I'm sure that at least in terms of gameplay, Bloodlines 2 will be more exciting than Bloodlines.
Judging by the information that is already available, this will be one of the best immersive sims, perhaps even close to the masterpiece Dishonored 2.

I'm not trying to sanitize anything. I get your point mate. But just because certain mechanics aren't implemented in the way you would like, doesn't mean let's slander the developer and the studio and deem them incompetent.

Ohhhh, true colors coming out...

So you are a dev apologist.

If devs can't take constructive feedback, don't be a dev.

Critique of any form of art or expression is part of this world...in the same way rotten tomatoes and IMDb showcases critical and audience feedback.
Nah. You're going beyond critiquing. You're handing out insults.

Still waiting for your evidence.

Zero knowledge

zero evidence

zero clue

Keep coping.

Such as?

I can't help it if the team (Both parties) claims something is in the game and then doesn't prove it.

I can't help it if the team pitched and agreed to create a game claiming to be a sequel.

Again, players have every right to feel aggrieved.

It's not like I'd taken aim specifically at the team beyond the creation of this game...not like I've ever said "Don't trust the team, don't buy their games" etc

I'm more than happy to debate a comment I've made if it's beyond the parameter of being called BL2, VTM or the teams decisions regarding both of those.

I guess you didn't notice the interview where Paradox took aim at Bloodlines players?

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/bloodlines-2-is-more-spiritual-successor-than-sequel-to-a-a-competently-good-game-by-2004-standards-say-paradox

I'm about to jump out to attend a wedding so I'll be away for a while.

Jokes aside, if you find me a comment that deemed insulting outside of the above parameters above that is genuinely unfair, I'd be more than happy to apologies and reverse the comment.

Gameplay could be great, but personally I will never consider it as a good immersive sim. The main character is voiced, which means their personality is more or less pre-determined and will restrict the freedom of role-playing. Having the main character's face shown during the conversation works the same way, players are forced to accept the developer's vision on what emotion the character should have when saying a certain dialogue.
In addition, even the game director Alex Skidmore said himself that their version of the game won't be an immersive sim like the original was and like Hardsuit Labs' version of the sequel was meant to be.

Another confirmation that this will be a delightful immersive sim and even in some ways the spiritual heir of Dishonored.

Great, because when I always wanted from a sequel to bloodlines was dishonored obviously! Hopefully, next time new assassins creed game comes out, we will get it to be spiritual successor to serious sam, that's such an amazing idea. /s

Yep, honestly it's so weird to me that the people saying it'll be great think it's great because it's looking like it's not a VTM game. It's such a weird take.

And that's genuinely concerning if you think that

Like what you see? I won't argue but if you're not just trolling "it looks like it's the best VTM game" is like playing God of War whilst saying "Man, this is the BEST Jrpg ever!"

it's not quite the same thing, no... because god of war doesn't have a bunch of pedants rudely insisting that nobody's allowed to like the new god of wars or else they're "clueless and coping"

Except god of war 2018 was moved to a different overall setting. Gameplay is a bit different but you still play as kratos and past events play a roll in that game. Bloodlines 2 is only sequel in name, also ignore op did doesn’t know what an imm sim is. Pretty sure he’d throw praise even if it flops.

Bloodlines 1 was a success in big part due to the customization. Gender, looks, clothes, skills, abilities, clan... you could make YOUR vampire. The vampire YOU wanted to be.

I stopped following this game the moment they revealed the pre-set character. They basically removed the roleplay out of a roleplaying game. At least, it should have been a roleplaying game. I guess it's an action adventure now. Great.

Don't get me wrong. Vampire Masquerade had action adventure game(s) before Bloodlines was even a thing. But this is a sequel/prequel/whatever to Bloodlines. It should be like Bloodlines 1. Why call it Bloodlines if it's not Bloodlines.

Midnight rant over.

Bloodlines 1 had male and female preset characters for all clans. There was no form of deep Skyrim/Fallout 3 character customization in that game. I swear mate, you lots just come in here like sheep just to hate.
