Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

Dev Diary #20: Blood Resonance
Well that's that.

There is no need to avoid breaking the masquerade, which is the very essence of VTM.

If we WANT to feed, we could potentially break the masquerade rules.

There is no requirement to socially feed. There is no NEED to feed...it's optional!

This means the game is now not just a Bloodlines game in name only, it's a masquerade game in name only. Making this a generic vampire game.

And that would be fine if the team actually marketed the game as a stand alone in the WoD...but it now no longer belongs in VTM let alone Bloodlines.

And know we know everything we need to know about the game.

We know how combat works, we know how combat feeding works, we know how social feeding works, we know the lack of uniqueness between clans and we know dialogue will be directed to a canon ending via Fabien. That is the game mechanics now done...the rest is just music, outfits and whatever we might be able to customise beyond hair.

Feeona...

• What are the repercussions of breaking the rules?

I mean, you'll be taken out. Which I assumed is something you would've already guessed unless you're trying to ask something more specific.
My apologies, I should have been more specific. Yes I guessed rule breaking would mean Vampire Hunters but what I meant was...

• Do we have a limited number of times we can break the rules? Can breaking the rules X amount of times result in immediate game over?

• Is there a means to redeem ourselves from breaking the rules?

• Is part of the rooftop traversal a means to escape Hunters?
