Wrong game forum. This was no big surprise though as it was rather late to the battle royal party.

I know. I still wanted to mock them. They aren't a good studio. They let people call you very rude names in discord then ban you when they do nothing and you complain..:-(

It was a really good game but it had no cheat protection, so the beginning predicts the end.

I thought they had some cheat protection? I just dislike the developers as people from what I've seen. Not responsible enough to take out the trash players and when you complain they punish the complainer, not the toxic people. And BR isn't VTM. Did they really think it would last? They've pissed off a ton of the tabletop players.

I got like a 5 week ban for pointing out that ESP cheats were being sold for the game. The worst was Chinese players using invulnerability cheats & auto-aim speed hacks, just pulverizing people and standing over the bodies, flexing and taunting. It was sick to watch. You can still see it on Youtube from people recording their games.

If they had anti-cheat, they wouldn't need crp like this:

A bunch of vampires fighting all over the city? Using powers, jumping, bitting, firing with no control?

Vampire: The UNmasqueraded: Bloodhunt

Not surprised at all that VTM fans didn't find this interesting. (Almost same goes for that Epic exclusive Swansong thing...)

Well that can happen in a game but it would be much better done.

Bloodhunt originally was going to use a market anti-cheat software like Easy-Anti-Cheat (used by famous games such as Dead By Daylight ) but instead used TenCent's 5 cent anti-cheat software.

A VTM battle royale shouldn't have even made it off the ground in the first place. There is absolutely nothing about the WoD franchise or setting that would even remotely support that kind of gameplay.

You've got people running around the streets of a populated city, killing each other on sight, and there's going to be a crap ton of witnesses. Kiss your 'masquerade' goodbye!
It's only masquerade breaching if people see them use powers or otherwise do something supernatural though. A bunch of armed gangs fighting each other isn't a masquerade breach necessarily.

If they wanted to it really should have been a hunters vs vampires and in more secluded/confined spaces for the maps.

Well it could be a turf war if a Baron or Prince declared a blood hunt on all members of the other factions. This though that would require some rather unusual circumstances, and the local kindred being way more loyal than usual to their Baron or Prince, rather than replacing the idiot who is rocking/sinking the boat, enough the other side wants to whole sale exterminate you, in rapid fashion.

Dude, they are running around, parkouring them selves up and down buildings, getting lit up with automatic weapons and hacking away at each other with blades. There is some unnatural, red fog descending upon the town, and there are squads of heavily armed, military personnel deployed on the streets.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that something isn't normal about this situation. Think about how many arrests the police would have to conduct. How many detained criminals would never make it to trial, because they either disappeared in transit, or burned to death in their cells once the sun came up. Think about all the street cameras and other surveillance equipment that would have caught the whole thing on video, because only clan Lasombra don't cast reflections.

Also, the very name of the game proves the developers knew jack all about the IP.

A blood hunt is a death sentence that is levied upon very specific criminals in vampire society. It is not the declaration of a free for all turf war to begin slaughtering each other on sight.
It can most definitely wind up as a turf war.

i'm not interested in any pvp games regardless of what franchise it is

It failed because the learning/skill curve made every match very one-sided for most new players. This harmed new player retention reducing the amount of players. This eventually harmed matchmaking time, which made match-ups even more one-sided for newer players as new players were consistently matched up with old experienced players in order to reduce matchmaking time. Basically a downward spiral. The cheaters didn't help either, but the cheaters were also a consequence of the one-sidedness of match-ups.

People also need to learn the difference between gameplay, and lore. Just because the gameplay is a certain way, doesn't mean that it's representative of how it happens in lore. This is standard for any game out there.
