The tragedy & truth about the Remake of "Vampire Masquerade"

I HATE haters ... anyway this is the first game where I have to make sutch a harsh comment like this (ohhh no second game, sorry). And this if of course my peronal truth.
But: It breaks my heart to see what they have done here .... so incredible possibilities to make a mindblowing game and than ..... this I don't want to hurt somebody or to insult anybody. English is not my first language.
(Sorry for my english! )

Let's tell you something from an "old Vampire Masquerade veteran here":
This Game here was dead from the beginning!

Why .... look: Vampire Masquerade was THE RPG game - the possibilities, the decisions, the atmosphere impressed so many player! Me too, of course. The dirty, hot Vampire world, the story and the NPC's ... with a lot of madness, romance and a lot of SEX.
.... EVEN if Vampire Masquerade was so full with bugs that you could only play it with a mod/patch made by fans. No joke, it was impossible for most of the player to play it, without a fan-made mod. You could download the mod in a forum for free (Nexus wasn't existing at this time).

What we have here:
They have the license for a Remake .... a Vampire game Remake .... a Vampire Masquerade Remake. And they delete from the beginning THE RPG in this game ("Focus on fighting"). It is so mindblowing ridiculous. Like in 20 years somebody want to create a Remake of BG3 and say: I will focus on fighting!
And also you delete romance & sex and madness from Vampire Masquerade .... you take the parts away who made the game SO successful.

The truth: The developer here (old and new ones) don't have the mind, the passion, THE INTENT to make a REAL Remake ... the want to make a "easy" Shooter/Slaughter game. Easy to programm, to create and than: Make as mutch money as possible! Thats it.
And so they ABUSE the name "Vampire Masquerade" for this. They bought the rights, so nobody else can now create a (real) Remake and now .... in Germany we say: "Sie fahren das Ganze an die Wand" ("They drive the whole thing to the wall").
Look in the Internet or remember WHAT game Vampire Masquerade REALLY was (and why it was SO successful) and than look at this tragedy here.

A game is NOT just graphics, fighting and a name. Imagine WHAT game this could be if somebody with real passion and real love for games would create it (like Projekt Red (Witcher), like ZA/UM (Disco Elysium), like Larian (BG3)). IMAGINE ... and than be sad and pissed about the tragedy here.

I'm not a clown-farmer. I'm just an "old chick" who really loved Vampire Maquerade, I played it sooo many times. Most of the time I played as Malkavian.

And when they announced they work on a Remake, I was soooo happy. Just to see ... this tragedy here.

They just want to make "quick money" and for this they destroy, the abuse the brand "Vampire Masquerade". Thats it.
What they announce here have nothing to do with the real Vampire Masquerade. Don't belive me, just: Make your own research. And than you will see.

I remember being so happy before they announced it even, when I heard paradox bought the rights. So many years have past.

idk... I feel like they actually want to make a good bloodlines game... but they don't have what it takes... maybe the next studio will be it, and whoever gets bloodlines 3 will give us what we have an itch for for so long.

also, you mean "bloodlines" not "vampire masquerade"... they already made many sub-par VtM and WoD games, and supposedly a few good visual novels which I'm having a hard time getting into (I tried 2 and they were ok-ish)

I don't need to believe you. We seem to share access to the same parts of the madness network. Just don't let word eater find you.
