Report a translation problem
A journalist frivolously named an article in such a way that makes it look like diablerie is a core mechanics, including coining the term "super vampire" - whatever that means.
I wouldn't however call it a core mechanic, and I think somebody just misrepresented the line about being able to learn the other clan disciplines/abilities from other NPCs. This however is neither diablerie or something new to a VtM story, since that is one of the things kindred have as a bargaining chip to teach their disciplines to other kindred.

Now the HSL one DIablerie would have been a core part of the narrative with starting as a thinblood and getting your clan at the end of Act 1 essentially.
