Well they did say female version of Phyre in a video and we have seen concept art with 3 female Phyre and likely two male versions of Phyre.

ok, maybe the description was misleading, a rpg like that without gender chose and character creation would be a big disappointment.

It has not been fully confirmed, but enough have been revealed that it is assumed there is a male version as well. We will have to wait and see...
The male version seems to have more than one type of face, but who knows if we get more than one type of female face...

Of all the things why is a canon version of our main character an issue?
We do not even know if that is what they will do yet... not that I think it is a problem either way.
Everyone assumes there will be one canon version of what happened in Bloodlines 1 that we might hear about in Bloodlines 2 and that does not seem like a problem.

It may come as a bit of a shock for you here but in this game you are supposed to be playing as an undead creature rather than a man or a woman. Whatever semblance of the latter it may still hold is little more than tribute to the masquerade as it happens to be a corpse animated by Caines blood curse centuries ago we are talking about. Vampires are unable to procreate so for once it would be absolutely meaningless wether the mortal you once were had been male or female for the plot at hand. A somewhat androgynous appearance that can be seen as whatever the player wants to see in it does seem to make an economical solution from a programmers perspective to me.

Aesthetics could of course be argued I suppose but as always that is a matter of taste.

nonsense, the prequel did it perfectly and it is very important for my narrative experience.

What prequel? You best not be trying to claim Bloodlines 2 is a direct continuation of Bloodlines!

Even if they add a male option now, its not gonna affect anything. Just like ubicrap games and recently c2077, the main script is female oriented and even when you play as a guy, its so weird. Why i stopped playing AC and other ubi games in general.

it is sad but you may be right, bloodlines was one of the best rpg´s i have ever played. The atmosphere, the freedom to play the game like you want (you could play most of the game even peacefull if you had enough points in social skills), everything was outstanding. We sure get the usual 0815 action game here, dumped down at every part and absolute political correct (i hope i am wrong but i fear not).

So did Baldurs Gate 3. And recently as well as hopefully they wont nerf them, GTA6 trailer and the women in it. Curvy feminine bodies and a lot of beauty facially.

CDPR and Larian, I was responding about the two games they listed in their counter point about attractive characters in games.

I know, and I said they werent a count point to begin. C2077 was being made before the crazy people took over western entertainment so a couple of laddies look fine, but ever since they went full ESG, they started making changes to their entire in game models. And larian has gone completely dgenrerate, they only allow you to look pretty in the character creator but the rest of the world is horrendous. so nope.

There is going to be Both Male & Female version but you have to wait until After Jan. 1 2024 before there any info on say on the Male Phyre.
