Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

mature content in this game?
like the level of nudity or sexiness or even a possible romance or anything else.
what do we know about these things for the game?
VTMB1 introduced such a dark world, yet there was such a nice tone of sexiness all around it.
i'm curious!

This question actually doesn't matter because modders will turn this game into porn game anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .

But on a serious note, what we can expect from what we have seen so far is, females don't have the usual sex object look (body proportions around 90-60-90, giant breasts and butts, unnecessarily sexy clothing, etc.) at all therefore I bet there is no pornography in the game at all. Yeah, there may be naked people as a rotten corpse (if it's your liking LOL), and some suggestive themes which everyone who don't have an amish life witness daily without deliberately looking for porn but other than that, the game obviously focusing on gore and ignoring pornography.

About romanticism, they say this game developed by a lot of females and most females like romantic stuff therefore there might be some fairytale-like innocent nerdy romanticism just like the first game I suppose, LOL.

Game censorship is weird. They get picky with things like nudity and sex, which is totally legal in real life, yet they are fine depicting illegal acts, like murder, beating people up, breaking and entering, stealing, car theft, drug taking etc...

Preach brother!!!

I'm still trying to understand why killing children in the game is a big NO but killing people who are over 18 is okay. Some people are mental, LOL. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's definitely something that could open a complete new deep topic of discussion and it's tightly connected to marketing products from and to cultures that treat sexuality like a sensitive taboo like USA.

I don't know why you people care anymore about cringe bioware sex when steam is full of porn game trash. Who cares if you can see vampire's other fang.

Agreed.

The first game had prostitutes openly walking the streets. One model featuring an ill fitting shirt with visible underboob, and stiff nipples poking against the fabric.

Another model found in Vesuvius was just flat out topless, wearing pointy tassels!

And of course we had the Sin Bin, which was a porno store with a backroom strip show. One of the dancers turns out to be a Hunter acting undercover.

And how does this change anything I said?

Romance is likely, but probably not a major part of the story. Nudity is less likely. Graphic sex is least likely of all. I think that pretty well covers it.

There was no nudity or sex in BL1. I don't count Jeanette's black screen with sound effects. Partial nudity isn't nudity; and I wager there will be significantly less partial nudity this time around.

Certainly nothing to appeal to the horny 14-year-old boy demo.

Well, you said you based your assumptions on Bloodlines 1 content, and I was just pointing out how much ♥♥♥♥ teasing existed in the first game. ;-)

But yeah, I really hope we get to see at least that much in Bloodlines 2.

Lou Grand is (leader of the Pioneers) is supposed to be a historically famous prostitute, after all.

Well, I don't want to start the whole discussion on political correctness in games again; it's been done to death here and it's boring and no one can add anything new to it.

That said, whatever overt sexuality that makes it into BL2 will almost certainly be from a woman's perspective and not a man's.

So, inclusive of that, is not having po*n-bodied women walking around half or 95% naked.

There absolutely will not be a Heather, for example.

Plus it's Seattle. Nine months out of the year that would just be impossible outdoors.

I would not bet on significant romance.

I would bet nudity is even less likely.

Graphic sex is exceedingly unlikely.

These assumptions of mine are based on the content in BL1, the developer/publisher, and the current trends in game culture.

Don't allow your expectations to be as high as your erection/lady rod. You'll just be disappointed. Expect the least, and there's a low chance you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Bloodlines 1 was made with the late 90's early 2000's mentality plus it's what was said in another thread, the target audience was different.

White Wolf surely told the developer and Paradox to tone down some ♥♥♥♥ thanks to the "don't objectify women!!!!" mentality nowadays.

Though, to be fair, there was male "♥♥♥♥♥♥", for lack of a better word, in the goth clubs, too.

Objectify women...For me its a state of mind. Its a game that's not based on reality games are what I consider art.

And some of the surfer types in Santa Monica were shirtless. And the male Malk PC showed some skin.

And everyone knows Chunk was only in the game as fanservice to women.

There absolutely will not be a Heather, for example.

Heather only dressed in skimpy clothing, if you specifically ordered her to do so, and it was only 1 out of three different costumes for her. The first being her default college girl outfit, and the second being her emo-goth outfit. Anybody claiming that Heather was a brainwashed sex slave are taking her character out of context.

---------------------

As for the character's sex appeal, I recently had an epiphany regarding what vampires would have considered "beautiful."

Remember that vampires are eternally preserved in whatever physical state they were at the time of the embrace. And with their immortality, they retain these appearances for centuries on end.

The standards of beauty in the 1950's, were vastly different from the standards of beauty in 2020. For all we know, Lou Grand may be walking around with a full, untrimmed bush!

Let that thought haunt your nightmares tonight.

Heather's boobs were so huge, though, even her regular outfit was indecent. I mean, the top was painted on.

For that reason, she's easy to attack as sexist. That, and being able to 'order her' to wear anything. There couldn't be a more gigantic sexist red cape.

As for gonad topiary, I've never had a preference. It's all rather meaningless when you think about it.

About Lou, though: I assumed hookers from ye olden tymes would have shaved to keep lice away.
