need one of the tablegeeks in this forum to let us know if they did a good job.
I'm excited for new lore!
"The Tzimisce are described as being a clan focused on control and possession, with the ability to reshape their own body - or those of others - to shapeshift, much like Count Dracula’s own power to take the form of a bat or wolf. " - Protean Amalgam confirmed though?
Quite surprising in a way that they also already shot down the work with Modiphius.
Tzimisce do not have Protean, so they wouldn’t really benefit from this Amalgam. I believe that it’s a reference to the zulo form and the Chiropteran Marauder power (both were inspired by Coppola’s Dracula film). Animalism and Auspex are definitely getting updated with Some Amalgam powers.
Nah what i mean that sounded a lot more like a confirmation of Vicissitude being gone and integrated into Protean as some amalgam, like they did with Serpentis. Which was one often repeated idea (for some fear) of how Tzimisce would look in V5, after the changes to Obetnebration, Sperentis, Necromancy, Dementation, and Quietus.
Then again, in the official video, it doesn't nessecarily sound that way.

Clan Ravnos for sure, they are probably changing the clan flaw. It is not a new thing, there had been complains since the clan was brought in.
that said, it's much better when it's done with the source lore then later changing things to force it. That way it can actually be done in a way that make sense. hopefully the writing makes sense and it's isn't forced in the source either.
You mean they didn't already write V5 from that perspective?
I'm happy knowing the Ministry of Truth is so diligent in its pursuit of goodthink.
In all seriousness, I can see why they'd want to significantly change the Ravnos from their former image. But the Tzimisce... they're going to be really difficult to modernize to current tastes while still maintaining their classic feel.
How do you make fleshcrafting amoral monsters with a history of eugenics, into PC-friendly monster-lites?
Just watched the video. And yes, the one writer did say 'with or without Vicissitude.' Also the concept art clearly showed the woman with the inhumanly tiny waist and the fleshcraft abominations. So I'd say that's a 100% confirmation of Vicissitude existing in a manner similar to its old uses.
It also sounds like the Ravnos can pull off some hallucinations that could easily rival Malkavians. I get the impression they're going to be more sophisticated than parlor tricks, this time around. I know Chimerstry always had that potential, but the lore might emphasize it now.
By ... shapeshifting them XD
More seriously, I can't see how they gonna do that in a universe/system without the concept of Path of Enlightenment - and keep the core things precious to the clan
P.S : I pray Seth for they avoid really dumb decisions like for the Lasombra (old social-Darwinists who sacrifices themselves for young shovelhead to bend the knee over a bunch of Ventrue ? Seriously ?!)
Or other clans who get wrecked spiritualy/physicaly
Yeah, Lasombra should've gone independent, if they broke away from the Sabbat at all. Or create a minor faction for them to head after leaving the Sabbat. Anything would make more sense than joining the Camarilla in a position of inferiority.
Has there been any mention of True Brujah in V5 yet? I'd like to see them make a strong resurgence at some point. Maybe with the upcoming Sabbat book...
Not really
I think since the "deflection" of the Sabbat by the V5 that they will be the "new Baali"
Boo-big-bad-evil-guys who serves to unite all factions against one enemy
So, not quite hype for this ^^"
(Edit : I talk about the Sabbat in general here)
I would've hoped for the exact opposite.
Make the Sabbat sober up in the face of modern technology, and become less like the cookie cutter bad guy.
Which would work heavily against the Camarilla. A more restrained version of the Sabbat (as in, still focused on freedom, but with less of the 'gore-streaked maniac' vibes) would probably draw large amounts of Camarilla vampires as turncoats.
