Slow day on the SA forums friendo?
I think I'm missing the punchline.
I'm guessing him being a gay Muslim? However it also mentions him living in Copenhagen, not Iran, so his chances of having been executed for being gay are greatly minimized due to being in Denmark. It could be the misogyny comment as well?
I'm more curious as to where that came from? If it's from the pen & paper RPG, the last I had heard was that the line had been scrapped due to issues with the team making it, so I'm not sure if it's applicable to this game? I don't know; by the time I heard about the new edition, stories were already making the rounds about it being scrapped.
Why are the SA guys so obnoxious and PC?
Although his bio reads more of a p!ss take than to be taken seriously.
I mean, why else is there a zeitgeist of minorities being pushed on a majority? A black gay Muslim must represent .0000001% of the population, yet these types of characters seem now to be 99.9% of the characters we are forced to play in games.
Just look at Apex for example. You either have to be a some freak or minority....or you get to be the old white man who is toxic and gasses other characters.
It would be a parody if it weren't reality.
With this in mind, what would an 'SJW' vampire do? Rally and speak in meetings for the rights of cattle? I think Pratchett already did this. Or wait, maybe they'd fight for the ugly clan's rights to get out in the common night and not be persecuted? Oh, wait.
Or maybe they'd rally for Melkavian clan not to be ever, ever called 'mad' or 'insane', instead being 'reality-connection challenged'?
I mean, do we even have to see it in a game to realize the ridiculousness of something?
What? Nice political assumption there. Re-read my post mate, and try to understand my point.
Here, let me help you. Any character and their history should *not* be off limits to the writer. I don't think anyone should be limited with what they want to express and create. However if someone wants to express those things - especially in an RP game, there should be options with how we deal and interact with that.
So to use your crude example of a child molester, sure. If the developers and/or writer want to explore that kind of theme, I'm not going to kick up a stink. But they better give me the option to murder that character in a brutal way. Or I could simply choose that the game isn't for me.
Now stop being dumb.
