The Deb of Night - Is Deb Coming Back?
I don't know about you guys, but the radio you could listen to in your apartment from VTMB was an absolute pleasure to listen to, and I'm really hoping they bring back the voice actress of Deb for this sequel.

With that said, do you guys think they'll be able to keep the edgy humor that was ok back in 2004, or will they have to cave to appease people who are easily offended at transgender jokes (see 17:18) and that sort of thing?

Looking forward to playing this awesome game.

With all the interviews and the current climate with game journalism I think edgy jokes will be out of the picture, it'll probably be toned down to remain pc so that they don't run into hot water. Paradox isn't as big of a publisher as CDPR which can afford going through constant controversy.

How do edgy jokes cost them any money, though?

If anything, the manufactured controversy got CDPR an even bigger audience who wanted to support them in spite of gaming “journalists”

Well that is how I assume what most companies think, they want avoid a pr nightmare with scummy journalism also putting into context with the interviews done with some of the writers especially regarding "touchy" topics. That's why I think they won't be putting very edgy or dark humor in the game.

That's some deep cut baiting.

Eh, not really bait. Just trying to figure out 2 things:

1. Is Deb coming back?

2. Will we get more of that edgy humor that made the radio extra special?

1. Unless Deb has moved from the SoCal area to Puget Sound area, probably not.

2. I like a bit of juvenile humor myself, but there was nothing really "edgy" in any of that. Just pure cheese, for flavor. I suspect if hideouts with radios are even a feature in this game, it will likely be more of the same.

Well even if not, alteast Mitsoda will once again dub TV news caster
Ignoring the bait, we don't know.

The devs haven't said anything about it but the fan demand exists so who knows.

Well from her voice she doesn't sound white. So the chances of her returning seem pretty strong, considering the developers political stance.

At the very least, you're more likely to get Deb returning than you are getting VV returning (for example).
Uh... bait? Political stance? If anything, most media is geared towards replacing whites so you’re definitely full of ♥♥♥♥ unless you start citing sources.

OK, how can you tell ethnicity from voice? I mean, it's clear you can't seeing as the voice actress is white.

Troll post is trolling.

Yes. That was exactly my point. Deb isn't white, hence why I said she is more likely to return than VV, who is white.
Thanks for agreeing with me (even though you were trying to insult me, lol).

Ok fair enough. She spent her first 15 years living in Asia, which probably why her accent didn't sound particularly white to me.

You can't tell ethnicity from accent.
