Personally i really prefer the first person perspective (FPP), for VtM.
The limitation of your view on what's in front of you, the inability to simply see around corners or above cover without putting atleast your head together with the camera being nearer towards everything getting near to your character imo lends itself rather well to action and horror elements, than the third person perspective.
But that's really a personal preference and i get why people discuss about pivoting heads and field of views and such...
Honestly i dont remember if u were or were not switched, i just play anything melee third person so i would not notice that.
Still, a bit sad the option is gone... but if that means they'll nail the first-person stuff, I personally won't mind the decision one bit in the end.
Wasn't in the original game, but the fan patch added it.
Given how synonymous that fan patch is with this game, for good and ill, and how many players have never touched Bloodlines without it installed,I think it's a fair answer despite not being a vanilla feature.
