The game did originally feature more Dwarves while we were making it, but the design evolved into what it is now and instead has a bunch of elves & Nabo but only one of everything else. This wasn't why we called it Dwarrows though really:
Dwarrows was a word in Middle English that derived from the old English dweorgas meaning "very short human beings", and since most of our important species were short humanoids, we thought it was still an accurate title, and it gave off that fantasy feeling while still being unique. (The word did eventually become dwarfs, of course)
If we had "Dwarves" in the title though, I think that wouldn't have fit well at all. Dwarves is a specific species in fantasy and Dwilben's biography specifically mentions that he is part of the species of "dwarves" and not Dwarrows, so we do see them as different within this universe.
I think the only time we closely reference Dwarrows in the story of the game is with their written text we called 'dwarren', which is a shared character set & language between the species, though I don't think we ever mention it anywhere.

Sure thing, my pleasure! :)
