i still dont understand the concept of the scales weights thought. i just took the 2 weights that were written on the pictures and figured it from there... :/
(Same with tears being on a 4 pedestal with the box number set to 2, and blood being set on a 2 pedestal with the box number set to 4...)
It's weighting puzzle and not the first in the series. But this one has the twist: you must think about what these numbers on pedestals mean?
There are two weights on each column. One is body part, second is it's pedestal with number saying how heavy it is.
So if you have tongue which weights 1 (hint in the main hall) on pedestal with 3 and some body part on pedestal with 2 and these two are on the same level it means that you have equation 1 + 3 = ? + 2 which is easy to solve
On each plate already stands pedestal with given weight from 1 to 5 units. You have collection of body parts with unknown weight of each of them so you must compare them to find out how heavy is each one keeping in mind that each plate already has pedestal with its' individual weight. While doing so you must also figure out what is the sum of masses (mass of pedestal + mass of body part) that should be put on each plate so all of them should have equal weight. But how to find EXACT weight of each part?
Now I'll return to images in a hall which also serve as hints to first part of puzzle. Each portrait has painted in red body part. Two of them - piece of hair and tongue have numbers. This is clue telling you the mass of tongue and hair - 1 and 3 units (don't ask me why the hell hair is heavier, it just is). With that knowledge you have to find mass of each other body part while solving puzzle above.
When mass of each body part is known you have to look on portraits, compare letters with painted body parts and put next to each letter value of it's body part. That's it.
If you have any questions left - feel free to ask
Truth to be told there are plenty of puzzles with weight in these games and this one is different only by making you to realize that there are in fact two objects pushing scales down
Using the hints of Frank=3 and James=1, you are supposed to just balance the rest out by trial and error. However, the game wants you to find the wight of the objects. Each pedestal + the weight of the sacrifice = 6. For example, for example, Leonard's foot and Rose's blood are on scales marked 2. 6 - 2 = 4, so L and R are both 4.
The problem is that it only tells you that the combined weight of the pedestal and sacrifice are equal to 6 inside this box, meaning you'd have to open the box in order to get the number to know how to open the box.
