MPO 3D Images?
Does this have the ability to view 3D images in MPO format that were taken with cameras such as the Fugi 3D W3?

It has not been tested with that format. Could you link me to a sample image? I'll see if it is possible to add support if it doesn't work.

Thanks, flibbertig155.

Unfortunately, it looks like Google Photos doesn't support MPO files yet, so the current version of VR Photo Viewer can't bring them in yet. Adding support for local files is already high on the list. I'll re-visit MPO support once that has been added.

I also need MPO support via local files. Don't have or want Google Photos account.

I have the same camera and would need this support before purchasing. Thanks & FYI

I did start to look into this and I think it will be possible. I'll update you next week with a timeline.

That would be awesome. This is a very popular camera fror 3d pics and video. People will find your product whether you hear from them on these forums or not if implemented. Looking forward to trying your demo as is. Thank you for your response :2015holly:

As promised, here's an update with a timeline on MPO file support: now! :-)

I've pushed an update to the "testing" beta branch that adds support for MPO photos (displaying them in stereoscopic 3D).

Note that this is only for MPO photos - it does not support videos taken by the Fuji camera.

Also, if you have MPO files created by other cameras, the display of the photos may not have the proper 3D depth information and may not display properly. The only other camera I have found that outputs MPO is the Nintendo 3DS. The Fuji camera images should display properly. I'll be adding support for the 3DS files soon. If other cameras are needed, please let me know.

Please let me know how this works out for you. If all goes well, I'll promote this to the official release as soon as I get 3DS support added.

Thanks!

Contractor,

Were you able to test it out? How did it work out for your MPO images?

Hi Brint.. MPO files look great! Great job! I'm now able to look at all my old 3d pictures without breaking out my 3d Projector using shutter glasses
