Co-op and multiplayer getting kicked out from my own lobby
Hi,
so i have a problem with the multiplayer and the coop campaign.
frankly, i am unable to join a lobby, or to be more specific, even if i join a lobby, i get kicked out after a few seconds. if i join the lobby of a friend, i also get kicked out, even if the host doesnt do anything.

when trying to create my own lobby (in multiplayer or coop) i get kicked out from my own lobby, with no other players present.

i get an error-message, but without any content, apart from the fact that i cannot create a lobby.
or that im beeing kicked by the host (in the case when i create a lobby which doesnt make any sense to me)

any tips would greatly help me

I'm assuming you don't have this issue with other Steam games?

Have you double checked in Windows Firewall then in "Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall", that 8-Bit Invaders! is listed and boxes are checked (Usually Private is the more important but check both Private and Public to be safe).

If this doesn't work, you might try running steam as administrator. Completely exit steam, then when you go to launch it, right click and launch as Administrator. If that one works, you can set it up more permanently in Properties/compatibility mode (when you right click the launch icon).

Let me know if any of that was too confusing XD.

thank you for your input Karnite,
unfortunatly, i already tried setting the firewall, but the boxes are checked as should be.
and yes, i dont experience that kind of problem with other games on steam.

i tried running steam as an administrator, but also no changes.

I'm sorry, I haven't been able to find you a solution. Every reference I can find of something similar happening has been a steam server or an update issue.

Can you check that your current build is: 631365? It's listed in the top right of the main game menu.

Also have you tried Verifying Integrity of Game Files via Steam? Right click the game in your steam list, Properties, Local Files tab, then click Verify Integrity of Game Files... Make sure the game is fully closed down before you do this.

Are you using any anti virus software? Have you tried turning it off?

Let me know.

hello Karnite,

once again thanks for your help once again :) my build is 631635.
yes i tried to verify the integrity , i even restarted steam a bunch of times.

yes, i use antivirus software, but i allowed the game through it, so this also shouldnt be any problem.

i tried to run even 8bit armies in the hope that the multiplayer would work, but it also doesnt.....

i already sent a ticket to petroglyph-support but so far no answer from them.

i am starting to think about refunding the game, because the lack of multiplayer.
