Seemingly stuck... help?

Just started playing. I'm not new to CCGs but I'm at a lost of what to do, unless I drop money on the game. So by all means please help because up until now I have enjoyed it.

I am fresh out of the full tutorial. Clicking Versus only gives me the option for Draft. Which costs 400 Gems, I don't have. The other 3 options are grayed out with ! next to them. Puzzle is grayed out with ! next to it. Gauntlet asks me to select my favorite deck of which I have none. It also doesn't allow me to select Expedition (which as far as I can tell are the only decks I have from the tutorial), only Throne. I might also point out that once I do this the image of the character telling me to pick my favorite card doesn't go away unless I quit the game. Forge again requires 250 gems, which I don't have.

So that leaves only Campaign, of which I have only The End And The Beginning only. I can not beat the first leg of this at all. I have tried many times. I beat him the first time, then he does the whole "Let's start again" thing. Where I have like 3 cards but he continually keeps summon units and overwhelms me. He literally ends up with 10+ units and I can do nothing. There is an NPC telling me to use the Eternal Throne without telling me how. After a couple more turns he begs me to use it. Again I can't see how or figure out how and the following turn I get destroyed (-18 from 18 health). So what am I missing? There has to be a way to beat this.

With the devs continually touting that you never have to spend a dime, at the moment I'm feeling a little underwhelmed by their claims.

You need start grinding Gauntlet for gold and cards!
My advice is also dont level up in Gauntlet above gold since there u have up to that 2 tries and after that only 1 try to reach to the end. So basically grind up to 6th boss and then resign under options and take out 1 silver and 2 red chests.

For starter you need make some low cost decks (you need also craft some cards).

Your starting decks being registered under the wrong format is a bug, the manual fix is editing them and converting the decks to Throne.

Ah yes the Throne short campaign! You just need to hold back the enemy until you can use throne!

This battle for throne has 2 parts:
1st part kill all and kill boss and dont worry about cards or HP, just beat da boss!
2nd part all resets and ur HP 25 again.
So here is sequence for the 2nd part of the battle:
1) play Throne Warden
2) dont block anything let them attack
3) lightning storm -> kills 8 of them
4) deathstrike kill remaining 1 + attack with Warden
5) silence -> determined stranger
6) obliterate -> forsworn stranger
7) crystalize
8) claim the throne!

gz! u claimed the throne and watch the intro/outro!

+ yes you can move decks back and forth between Expedition adn Throne when you zoom in into deck stats there is CONVERT button which moves decks between those 2 modes! NB! it is because you can have only 1 deck with certain name.

Your first post didn't immediately solve any of my issues, but will definitely serve to help me quite a bit after then following posts. I kept trying this battle over and over and Crystalize never pulled, which means Eternal Throne never pulled. Seems the answer is just letting them attack you. But this definitely got me past. Thank you very much.

I'll have to delve deeper into the info in your first post. Thank you.

This probably helped me the most. I could not for the life of me figure out why I could not progress. Converting the decks fixed everything. They really need to let others know about this. Just a little pop up letting you know to convert your decks to Throne.

I absolutely 100% had the exact same thing happen to me and was ready to uninstall the game in frustration before I stumbled across this post. Developers really need to keep on top of these things if they wanna grow their player base.
