Mute Player
Add a feature to automatically mute every opponent. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about what these people spam at me during games.

If you didn't give 4 hearts about what these people spam at you during games you wouldn't be here asking for a way to permanantly prevent them from being able to do so.

Uhm, it's distracting.

It's not distracting if you don't give four hearts about what emotes they spam like you claimed you don't. I hardly ever notice them using one, but then I'm looking at my hand and thinking about what I am going to play next, not letting them distract me.

How would you react to being called a lot worse in person while playing across the table from another player?

That being said I'm all for you sensitive types getting the permamute you want. As always I'd like a text or even voice chat option added for those of us that are more mature and can handle interacting with our opponent. They can add permamutes to them for the delicate flowers too.

Many of us were playing card games across tables from people we were talking to while doing so decades ago and talking trash to the people we fragged on xbox live when halo 2 came out over ten years ago. So why are PC games still being given training wheels?

Of course I suggested as much using the in game suggestion feature over a year ago. You might find doing the same more prudent than trying to claim you don't give four hearts about emotes yet somehow get distracted by them in an unofficial forum the devs rarely read.

People are much better behaved in person than online. And the console players are usually the worst of online gamers.

Personally I think the game would be better with a mute option.

Oh and as much as you wanna crawl up DWD's ass, they do stop by here and read all the time. There are loads of comments, but keep lying little man.

I haven't been arguing with anyone and while I'm flattered that you think I'm a badass, it isn't something I brag about. But really, you should stop talking about asses and my kid. I've told one story about him in this forum and that was like a week or two ago.

If you want to see badass you should see what happens to men with an unhealthy interest in little kids in the prison. But I suspect you will find out for yourself firsthand what happens soon enough.

As for all this time on my hands, it is quite the opposite of being a loser. I retired in my early thirties almost a decade ago, set for life. Gives me more time to talk on the forums about the games I play. Perhaps you should get back to that instead of talking about me or my kid.

I didn't lie. I said they rarely read the threads in this forum. I didn't say it never happens.

They do however chat regularly on their discord channel, and ask that we submit suggestions via the options menu in the game. That is why they gave us that feature. To submit suggestions.

Do you think Steam gave us these forums so you could talk about my kid and your fascination with butts, or so that the op could make the second whiny rant about the same thing someone else made earlier this week, or that mature adults could discuss the game we play?

lol Every forum has one of these douchebags. Half fanboy, half antagonizer.

Your comment has been duly noted, there is no need for you to continue posting in this thread.

I'm not a fanboy, or an antagoniser. I'm certainly not eight hearts.

You seem to be an antagonizee however. You apparently get overly upset over the smallest things, from the emotes you lie and claim you don't give four hearts about, to someone that replies to you in the thread you made to complain about those emotes you lied about.

There was no need for you to post this thread at all. Had you used the suggestion feature that is in the options menu of the game instead the devs would no doubt have added you to the list of people that want to be able to automute the custom emotes they include with most of the avatars they sell to make money from this game.

But since you posted this thread rather than using the suggestion feature, it did seem there was a need for me to inform you of that feature since you apparently weren't aware of it.

And I clearly need to reply again despite you claiming I do not need to, if only to inform you that I am not a fan boy nor an antagonizer, and that I am at least nine hearts, ten on a good day, since you decided to try to tell lies about me now as well.

What is wrong with you. Do you have a mental problem. You also came into my thread with the same nonsence. Why does people asking for automute trigger you so much.

On top of that you're completely misinformed. This message board, Reddit and discord are the only places to interact with the devs. Ive put in multiple requests for this via in game feedback and nothing gets done.

Maybe your old ass can get off your high horse for just a moment and see that this a feature that people want. This isn't one of those musty comic book stores you grew up in. Its a digital card game with digital issues.

The next time someone posts this exact question again which they will just do us all a favor and don't reply.

No one needs you calling them snowflakes because you don't agree with a very simple community request.

Nothing gets done because the unique emotes are a selling point of the avatars the devs sell to make money. Making you manually click twice every game to mute, so the people that pay for them at least feel like they had a chance to use the custom emotes they paid for before you muted them seems a reasonable compromise.

But if DWD is willing to refund all the avatar purchases and add a permamute for the select sensitive few of you demanding it, that would be a reasonable compromise too. They can recoup the losses by charging you $50 each for the feature or something.

But this isnt a digital issue, MTGO, the first and still best mechanically, if not graphically, digital CCG has had text chat since 2002. Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, or HS were the first digital CCGs to add emotes because their digital products were targeting a younger and less mature player base. (I'm not sure which since I didn't even try two of the three.)

Speaking of HS, it was thanks to a WoW themed episode of South Park that the more than a decade old tradition of calling out the sensitive snowflakes for being what they are began. It is usually accompanied by a recommendation that you might find Hello Kitty Island Adventure more enjoyable than the game you are getting overly upset by.

We don't do this to be mean. On the contrary, we do it because ironicallly (or maybe hypocritically) the people that make threads like this don't realize by doing so they are being even more immature than the people that spam those emotes, both by getting so upset by the emotes, and by getting upset that they having to click two whole times to prevent it from continuing in match they entered knowing they will have to click a lot more than twice to play.

I and a select few like me reply to threads like this in the way we do because those people really do need to be told how immature they are behaving and how overly sensitive they are being. But I can understand why some of them would prefer to get upset by my doing so rather than stop being immature and overly sensitive snowflakes. Growing up and becoming a mature adult is hard, and they are too lazy to even click twice to mute a custom emote an opponent may or may not spam after all.

Your first reply was contentious, and you've remained contentious during the whole thread.
So spare us the "I do it because people are immature" crap. You're the one being immature.
You really think you're going to change a persons mind about an experiance in a game they're having? No. you don't. So you replied just to start crap.

Grow up, dude. seriously. no one's falling for that crap. You were being a troll, got called out for it, and now you're like "uhhhh no.. i did it for reasons and things!"

Edit: Sure enough, there's other threads where someone's telling you to chill, because you're being contentious and combative on there too. Of course there is.

As I said, this tradition is older than the south park episode that took it from the WoW forums and Barren's chat in 2006. But you are welcome to look this all up for yourself rather than to try to slander me because you don't like the fact that what I am saying is true. And it is an effective tradition, although it certainly doesn't seem to be working in this particular case. It did however work in this thread:

http://steamcommunity.com/app/364470/discussions/0/1692662484249654472/

I even got thanked for the effort I put into telling someone to grow up. But then they were mature enough to realize they were being immature.

I agree I am trying to be "contentious," by informing the OP that they are being overly sensitive, and that there is a feedback button that the developers included in the game was put there for suggestions. I am just wondering why you say it like it is somehow a bad thing.

The OP was being "contentious," by creating this thread to argue that this feature is needed here in an unofficial forum in the first place.

Tank was being "contentious", by arguing that this is where you go to interact with the developers regarding suggestions. Intellectual property laws are tricky things, developers can not reply to suggestion threads and say "That is a good idea" because were they to then add that suggestion to the game the OP that suggested it would have a legal claim to sue those developers for using their idea.

The devs are not going to reply to the same thread and say "no, the custom emotes we make for our avatars are more important to our paying customers than giving you the permamute feature you want for free" either because then they might lose that player. It is better to just ignore them and let them keep playing and hoping in vain. So by phrasing any thread or post in the form of a suggestion, you are pretty much ensuring that you won't be interacting with the developers.

And you are being "contentious," by arguing that my words mean things they don't, that my reasons are not what they are, and that somehow I am the immature one here because I am not upset by players spaming emotes in game or by people like you trying to troll me by calling me a troll and worse.

The difference is intent. I used a more than a decade old tradition in the hopes that the OP and Tank before that would realize they are bring immature and overly sensitive and to stop being upset by something as silly as an emote, or over having to click twice to mute those emotes rather. I didn't do so to try to troll them and upset them. They are trolling themselves by letting such things bother them in the first place.

And because they got as upset at me telling them these simple truths as they do these emotes, and Tank does by not getting any "interaction" from the Devs on this issue, they then started trying to troll me and even got you upset enough to try to do the same. I guess you need a new handle eh?

Amusingly you all are trying to somehow troll and upset me the same way they are getting upset by people spamming emotes at them. It is ironic, and hypocritical, but it is also doomed to fail. Your intent certainly isn't to get me to stop getting overly upset by or whining about people emoting me in the game. So if anyone is trolling here it is you.

It would be just as hypocritical for me to tell them to not be upset by an emote were I to then get upset by then trying to troll me with the lies they want to troll themselves into brlieving about me. But it is funny as hell to watch how easily they prove they are even more immature than the people spamming emotes in the game. After all those people don't come here to whine about other people spamming emotes back at them.

Meanwehile I've been called a jerk, a troll, immature, old, a musty comic book store frequenter, contentious and more by a bunch of trolls trying to troll me because I pointed out how immature they were being. Which is hilarious. I had already pointed out how immature they were being so they really deidn't need to go out of their way to prove me right.

Still, I contend that being contentious isn't a bad thing, so I am unsure why you think you are somehow trolling me by claiming I am and have been. That is what this forum is for after all, the general discussion of this game, including whether or not the players are being more immature by using the custom emote they paid for or by whining in a forum about someone else doing so and asking mommy to make everyone stop emoting them forever.

So if anyone feels like discussing the game, or immature behavior stemming from the game, I'm all for it. But if you would rather continue to talk about me, try to troll me, and keep proving me right about how immature you really are in the process you can always do that too.

ppl like him are the reason i spam my special emote upon winning

haha
stay salty, friend :zomshaka:

and as it has been noted already
they sell exclusive avatars with special emotes for a lot of cash to idiots like me
-> why would they add a permamute to make it absolutely pointless and reducing their income again ?
