Is Eternal dead?
Came back to play after a long time and I got just 2 matches in 10 min.

No. I usually find a match in under a minute.

Yes, that´s was the wait time last time I played, Now it´s taking more than two minutes when I am luky.

It may depend on the time, mode and rank you are playing. My waiting time of my last thrones matches took up to 2 minutes. Obviously the number of concurrent players got seriously lower over the last year https://steamdb.info/app/531640/graphs/ as some other quite decent ccg alternatives to MtG and HS were released.

It is starting to die as it's become very much a PTW game. Legendary stacked decks drive out players. New cards which you can preorder are so broken that it is nearly impossible to effectively play against them, so it's PTW or lose most of your games. Stranger decks with no good hard counters. Sacrifice decks with no good hard counters. Broken relic. Etc. etc. etc. The game gets less and less fun every expansion and the players becoming largely toxic.

I'm a bit ambivalent about being the voice of reason here, since I share the frustration of new cards being overtuned, but..

Eternal is, for me, hands down the best game of its genre, ever. If I were to begin enumerating all the things it gets right, this would turn into a massive wall of text, so I'm not going to do that.

Eternal is not pay-to-win, just because you can get early access to a set of cards that introduce powercreep. You might argue that is the definition of pay-to-win, but try to think of viable a business model, for this type of game, that makes it possible for the game to exist at all, without selling cards in some way. Almost every other game in this genre have more aggressive pricing.

Players are toxic? What are you even talking about? Unless you go to the forums, there is barely any way for players to be toxic. There are some who are sore losers, and let the clock run, and that's about it.

As for the powercreep: It's unavoidable, as we need a reason to play cards from new sets. After the meta settles down, the dev checks the performance stats of factions and cards, and makes minor adjustments as needed. They even offer refunds for cards that are modified.

You are very wrong in your pricing facts in other ccg.
In other ccg no matter wat you do creation and disassambly of cards is cheaper there for way more viable than it ever will be in eternal. Despite that they did not learn what their competitors are doing right. the only way for free players to be viable is being able to sell everything they get in their hands and forge for new cards. hardly to say this is impossible in eternal.
Do i get legend wild cards to pick wat ever i like and want to use? No i dont.
Eternals system is simply not viable and this is why player base decleines. and no new players are encouraged to start playing when they see this.
Also no one wants a card game with only half rules. EG deck limit.
75 for all or shut it down simply. no need for ranked vs 150 card decks 24/7 its a no brainer they just brute force you cause they cant seem to fit a strategy in a 75. this is so sad to see.
