Focus on playing the campaigns with your gold earnings to get some pretty good cards and learn the game.
Play Gauntlet until you are Master
Play Forge until you are Master. You get to keep every card you pick at Forge, but you'll mostly pick Commons and Uncommons.
You get a pretty good rank up reward each time you complete one of the above modes, until you reach Master.
Play Draft when you can afford it. You get to keep every card you pick at Draft and you get the chance to pick more Rares and Legendaries. Follow the B.R.E.A.D. strategy to pick up cards (Google it), if you want to go far into Draft. Successfully completing Draft will yield you 6000-8000 gold and 3-5 packs. Otherwise, even the cards you picked are usually worth the price.
Play Ranked, don't bother with Casual. You get better rewards from victories. Also you get red chests. Red chests and higher ranked chests (silver, gold) can randomly get upgraded to better chests, all the way to Diamond. Casual gives you Wood chests, which can not get upgraded.
Get your first victory of the day.
Always leave room for new quests, particularly now that you are starting out, you'll get a lot of tutorial quests.
Every week for your first month, you will receive a free theme deck. All the cards it contains will be added to your collection automatically. You will also get a related high-tier quest.
Check out Eternal Warcry, a website where people upload their decks. You'll get some good ideas about deck building and a good direction on what cards you could invest your shiftstone in crafting.
Focus on creating a budget Rakano deck as your first deck. It's a deck that relies on creatures that can give buffs to other creatures or weapons in your deck. It's fun, with very simple interactions and can be very successful agains the AI (Gauntlet). Also Red/Green is usually the most reliable deck to craft in Forge and Draft.
I can't emphasize this enough: Do not buy any packs right now. You will be getting a lot of gold from all the tutorials, campaigns, achievements and quests you will be completing, particularly now that you are starting out. That gold is better spent on stuff like Draft and Forge. You get a lot more cards out of those, if you are averagely successful, than from the packs you'd buy otherwise with the same gold. Once you have ranked up to Master in Gauntlet and Forge, and you are tired of Draft, you can try buying some packs if you'd like.
But basically every time you buy a pack, you are buying a Rare or Legendary card and around 150 shiftstone (100 from the pack + 50 from disenchanting extra cards). All the commons and uncommons are very easy to get.
Be sure to check your Profile before you buy a pack if you decide to do so. There is a tab which lists how far (in %) you are in completing each set, as well as breaking it down in card rarities. Essentially it tells you from which set to buy, so you have the highest chance of adding new cards to your collection.
Or spend a little RL money to buy them, the Devs do a good work and deserves some support.
As they said
Forge and Gauntlet to masters, after that Ranked and Draft.
Rare Draft in draft till you feel you don't need to. We all did it and you'll know yourself when you can stop.
No, no it's not.
AI will not attack into deadly and disregards entombs on your side.
There's several decks out there specifically built for Gauntlet that use this flaw and allow a pretty much straight run to Masters as long as you don;t get one of the stupid rulesets like "Free ability" giving them 2 big beaters with destiny first turn.
Correct, I play casual a lot and looted 2 golden chests yesterday {LINK REMOVED}https://snag.gy/LNfi0c.jpg
Yeah, but doesn't it reward them every 3 victories, instead of every single victory?
1 bronze each win, 2 bronze on 3 wins.
