Same account for Steam and Android App?

I started with Eternal yesterday on steam and now I've downloaded the Android App and I'm curious if I can use the same account for both. When I started the game from Steam and said that I'm a new user, it auto-logged me in with my steam account but there seems to be no option to use my steam account to log in on Android.

Using my Steam-User or my Steam email + Steam password doesn't work as a valid login

Try to log out from the in game options and click register from the in game log in screen to make a new nonsteam account. You can then use the new account on both versions of the game.

Note that all progress on your current steam account will stay on the old one, unfortunately unless you can get the dvs to help you.

Not a perfect solution but I feared that it would end like this. Not really well done for a multi-platform Application.

I agree that it should be changed if new players are given a steam only account by default that can't be used on mobile.

When i started Eternal we had to do the regular registration to save our progress.

Yeah, I can understand that using the Stream account on mobil is not what you want to do and not that easy. But than creating an account with DWD should be the default when starting the game for the first time.

I luckily encountered this problem after roughly 5 hours of game time so it's not a huge loss but still feels like it could be solved better.

Ok I figured it out. If someone has the same problem, you can go to options->Account and if you signed in via a non-eternal account like Steam it offers the option to create an Eternal Account. If you do so, the progress from Steam will be merged unto that new account
